«Virgin Apocalypse» aka «Angels With Golden Guns» A frankly misogynistic WIP-explo about a women’s camp with a chaotic plot that spit on coherence and logic. Throughout the film here in every possible way exploited, whipped, strangled, dipped in water, beat the butt in physiognomy, finally shot Filipino ladies, who sometimes do not mind to scratch the faces of their girlfriends through misfortune.
The scale of the “virgin apocalypse” the plot of course does not reach (although perhaps it meant mass cat-fight prisoners), because most of the desperate girls are shot out in the first half of the film, but three avengers will remain alive (promised by American distributors of “golden guns” they, unfortunately, too, was not observed), and unscrupulous sadugs will receive their own.
Free use of the soundtrack from Western films was common practice for low-budget Asian films of the 70s and 80s. In this case, the creators did not hesitate to take the main theme from Suspiria for the scene of a strange nude ballet, where apparently under the inspiration of the Jallo also used stingy scarlet illumination. Successful from the point of view of the trash-film episodes like this periodically attract attention to the confusion of fantasy and the spontaneity with which they are removed (dipping captives in the water, torture by snakes, the final fight of bandaged in the hospital), but then only individual fragments, about the whole patchwork film to say this, in no way.
