My movies are from the trash! If you come across him, ask him if his name is King Kong.
(Roughly 22 minutes of the film)
New King Kong
God, who wrote the dialogue in this (k-hmm) movie? The director's son? One second, let's see. Directed by Paul Leder, screenwriters Paul Leder and Ruben Leder. Ah-hee-hee, no more questions. Well, seriously, before us extreme thrash or toothless plagiarism "King Kong".
In English, the film is called APE. We have it translated simply "Gorilla". Check out the plot - a huge gorilla (or fake King Kong) is transported by ship to Disneyland. Ie. Leder does not really explain who caught it, where it came from (sitting on the same island as the original Kong, a-hee-hee) – think for yourself.
Naturally, the gorilla breaks loose (did not want to work at Disneyland for bananas) and the first thing - begins to fight the shark (mat). The film was released in 1976. A year after Spielberg’s horror animal Jaws. It looks so stupid, I even smiled.
After waving his fists with the poor shark, the fake King Kong goes to South Korea, where he arranges panic and pogroms. If you do decide to watch (and I forbid you, a-hee-hee), then periodically look at the background. You will see that the extras frankly laugh at all this nonsense.
Apotheosis of degradation - fake King Kong, fighting off toy helicopters, shows the camera middle finger. Bravo, Mr. Leder! Peter Jackson cries in combustible tears (in an embrace with the rest of the directors who didn't mock everyone's favorite monkey).
Don't worry, the blonde is here. The actress does not play well (as do many actors in general), but when you have a guy in a battered monkey costume (which was stolen from the local youth theater), a-hee-hee, about adequate acting can be forgotten. Add here “action” – cardboard houses, toy dances and everything in a similar section.
Instead of the end. Curious information, it turns out, Dino De Laurentiis (producer of “King Kong” 1976) sued “APE”. What can be said here - deed, a-hee-hee...
