The name is the destiny of man. Everything has a beginning and everything comes to an end. The early work of Mahesh Bhatta is no less masterpiece than later. And early creativity Sanjaya Datta too. Sanju Here so young, thin as a reed, has not yet grown muscles and long hair. But, his look, it's something that turns the whole soul. Such a cute, insanely touching and defenseless look of a little kitten, caught in harsh living conditions and looking for help from others. Sanjayu could not play anything in this film, just a couple of times to close up his eyes and all, all the audience would drown in tears. I just couldn’t stop crying when those eyes were showing despair. And when Vicki got from one trouble to another, I wanted to run to his aid and shut him off from the world like an angel with wings. It was the first time I had this feeling while watching. Even the early films of Mithun never evoked such a desire to help the main character as this film caused.
Janky (Nutan) is left alone with her two sons Ravi (Kumar Gaurav) and Wiki (Sanjay Dutt). Their family is very poor. Plus, the younger son Wiki gets into constant trouble, but his older brother Ravi always helps him out. Once Wiki learned that it is possible to get a good job in Dubai, and to help his mother and brother decides to go there. Ravi finds money for Wiki and despite the resistance of his mother, Wiki leaves for Dubai. The agent who took the money disappeared with the money. The visa received by Wiki is also not legal. Now he doesn’t want to go home without his mother’s wrath. And then, as is usually the case in such cases, one type came along his way, promising to employ him for a good and profitable job. Wiki has no choice, he is without money and without documents in a foreign country, and therefore agrees. He begins to work for the terrible smuggler Wound (Paresh Raval) to stay in Dubai.
This film also made Paresh Raval a stunning villain of Indian cinema. "Chatti Aihey Pankaj Udhas" is one of the most moving songs in the film. Other songs, such as "Amiron ki Shaam", and "Tu kal chala jaega", songs you will never forget. First of all, this film is a turning point in the career of Sanjay Dutta and director Mahesh Bhatta.
The film is so touching and soulful that it can not be forgotten for a long time. Any good movie lover will love this movie. It shows the essence of nationality and the pain that a person goes to in every way trying to protect his family and loved ones. The love of mother, brother and responsibility that should never be forgotten is the theme of the film. Life has no meaning without loved ones. Kumar Gaurav and Sanjay Dutt did a great job. I think this film is a milestone in the history of the Indian film industry.
Sanjay Dutt played an unforgettable role in the film. A good story, directing, cinematography and chic play by leading actors makes this film unforgettable. The film that made Sanjay Dutt a star. All fans of Sanju, those who saw this film (I watched it for the first time today), will be happy to review it, and those who did not watch will definitely watch, I think, to see their idol at the beginning of his creative path in cinema. This is one of the best films of Mahesh Ji Bhatta.
It is impossible not to mention the second character of this film, Ravi, which was performed by Kumar Gaurav, because what Kumar showed on the screen was amazing. So many amazing emotions, and his look, and the actions of his character, just fight off. The character of Ravi is simply heroic, he remains loyal to his brother and his family, even in the most difficult times, instead of taking the easy path. And Kumar here the star is no less than Sanjay. Kumar Gaurav, more precisely Ravi, like a rock, stood behind Viki during all these tests, as befits a brother.
"Name" is a tragedy movie that feels helpless, but it also offers important lessons. You cannot be careless with your life, your family cannot save you always, sooner or later, they will not be able to help you. The film also teaches parents to be less harsh with their children, and to value and support them more. This can really one day be a turning point in a person’s life.
Nuthan was excellent as the mother of two sons, so different in character and so close to each other. Her character is Junky, an ordinary woman who has experienced so many difficulties and problems in life that many of us have not even dreamed of. But, as a real Indian mother, she did not lose heart, did not break under the yoke of difficulties and misfortunes, and was able to keep love and kindness in her heart.
An excellent script that was written by Salim Khan, in partnership with Javed Akhtar (the author of the famous hit of the 80s "Mr. India", which became at the time, and to this day remains a favorite film). By the way, both of these films (Mr. India and The Name) are released with a difference in the year, I put in the top 5 great plots of Indian cinema. Although "The Name" is little known, even among Indian viewers, what can we say about us? Whenever possible, I will always watch it.
What can I say about this movie gem? This is a difficult task, a very difficult task. This film makes you experience a whole range of emotions and leaves the viewer in tears. This film can be called at least a small masterpiece. However, it’s grossly underrated because there’s a whole generation that hasn’t even seen the movie. And this mistake must be corrected. Of course, the ending of the film is very sad, and not at all what you expect (as in any Indian film, the ending is unexpected), but all this makes it even more special.
