In the Flame of Passion 1973 A cute movie, extremely frivolous and banal. The plot develops rapidly, the actors play easily and with humor. In the title role, the relaxed Dev Anand and a whole bouquet of beauties are the feminine Rakhi Gulzar, the romantic and serious Hema Malini, the fam fatale of Bindu, and the timid and then broken Padma Khanna.
The dynamic event rhythm of the film was decorated with the excellent music of R. D. Burman. All musical compositions and numbers are good in their own way, there are traditional running around flowering gardens, and a “callous” room in the restaurant, with the vocals of the unforgettable Ashi Bhosle.
Director Yash Chopra (he needs no introduction) managed almost everything. Only scenes of mass fights are sloppy-comic, but perhaps this is the intention of the master.
P.S. Of course, this is a one-time spectacle, but despite this, it is quite high-quality and funny, covered with a spicy atmosphere of the 70s.
