Sometimes things don’t go as we’d like (c) Beauty Mi Ryong throws a party about the arrival of her boyfriend Jung Woo, but everything is covered with a copper pelvis. Mi Ryong's mother accidentally tells her husband that Jung Woo is only half Korean, on his mother's side he is Hawaiian. The father strongly opposes, and insists that Mi-ryong abandon him and find a normal guy, one hundred percent Korean. But she refuses to obey the will of an irritated ancestor and a good half of the film tries in various ways to entice her father and get his approval.
Jung Woo arrives from New York tomorrow, and Mi Ryong asks his best friend, hairdresser Ha Young, to detain him by all available means and not allow him to get to Seoul before evening. Giving her a note describing her boyfriend, Mi Ryong, meanwhile, took up a stubborn father. There is no doubt about Mi Ryong’s magnificent abilities in composing a verbal portrait of the groom: a medium-sized, sand-colored cloak, a suitcase from Louis Vuitton, to which a bear cub is tied, eyes like Zhang Dong Gong’s, lips like Cha Tae Hyun’s, a sexy neck, and an excellent adika who walks up and down, up and down when he drinks Coke.
But Ha Young still finds a suitable young man and very aggressively and obsessively tries to fulfill his mission: pouring coffee on his cloak, bringing him to the beach, losing his car keys and so on. The guy is seriously afraid of her and makes several attempts to escape, but suffers a complete fiasco - Ha Yeon does not give up so easily and every time he finds him.
Throughout the film, this strange couple often finds themselves in rather silly and strange situations, which contributes to their rapprochement. But there is one big thing: Jung Woo boyfriend Mi Ren, and Ha Yeon her best friend.
But everything is not as it seems at first glance, and the ending is very unexpected.
A good and easy movie with an element of fatality. In a simple, funny and unobtrusive form, he makes you think about fate, and that perhaps everything is already destined, and some people just had to meet. Many situations are very absurd, and the behavior of the characters is ridiculous, which, however, only makes you smile and even laugh at them.
I liked the main characters' play. Lee Yo Won just got used to the image of her comic and confused heroine, and perfectly reflected even the smallest features of her character. Shin Ha Gyun was also pleased. He also perfectly reflected the image of his hero. It is also worth noting the naturalness of the game of Min-hee Kim, Gong Hyun-jin and Hak-Chol Kim - best friend, jealous ex and die-hard father turned out very well.
Some comic moments, whether it's the police chasing the bus, the incident at the hotel or the showdown at the party made me laugh. A scene on the beach, or with an aquarium to admire the beauty of nature.
I wish all lovers of light South Korean romantic comedies with a lot of funny moments and good acting.
