Hello from my childhood! Recently, I was picking mezzanine, came across an impressive box with old VHS tapes. And among the variety of fighters, I noticed a tape of Shaolin Boys. As I remember right now, about the year 1997, I was waiting for my dad from work because he promised to buy some new tape. So he comes in and pulls me that tape. I said to him, "What the hell?" I wanted to be offended, but I sat down with my father to watch this movie. After an hour and a half, I thanked my father for buying such an interesting tape.
It's a film about two monks, I don't remember brothers or just friends. Having messed up in the monastery, they hide from the teacher in a container, which after a while is loaded into the plane, and they are born in Hong Kong. And now imagine - what can two young monks do in a big city who have not seen anything but the monastery camp?
Very exciting and hilarious comedy. I remember that the story goes so easily that seven-year-old I did not puzzle, trying to figure out what was what.
While I write from memory that I remember, because at the time I watched this film more than a dozen times. We have to reconsider. Translation at that time is the norm. I don’t think there is another translation. The picture left much to be desired, of course, but at the time I did not think about it. Maybe I won't like it the way I used to. This is a film from my childhood.
Young monks learn urban life, make new friends, and get involved in history. Criminals, although adults, but the monks studied kung fu, so adult uncles will get the most tomatoes. One fat, the other smart, wearing glasses. Almost all the humor came from a fat man who loved to eat.
It makes no sense to write about actors, I don’t really remember anyone. I liked everything, the current one - well, for any flaw there are, well, I think not fatal, after all, a film for a teenage audience.
For those of you who haven’t seen this wonderful movie, I don’t think you’ll regret it. You can show the kids this funny comedy. And of course, the film deserves the highest rating.
