Love is the main wealth in life. Who has not filmed this great work of the great writer? You probably won’t find such a director in the world of cinema. And each new film adaptation is very different from the others. Each has its own vision of the director, a piece of the soul of the writer and operator. So the Indians joined this number of directors who made a film based on a great work. Although the name of the director Raja Navate, I confess, I hear for the first time, but his work was very impressive and pleased. More precisely, the film is based only on the work of Shakespeare, because only the storyline is similar, and otherwise it is a completely unique story that could be shot only in Bollywood. Moreover, everything is taken very qualitatively and with dignity, quite in the spirit of the 70s of the 20th century. By the way, a very loose translation of the title was given to the film by Russian translators who voiced Indian films. The exact translation will be: "Machali"/"Left-thinking", which corresponds to the main character of the film. And indeed, the whole film she could not decide what she ultimately needs from life.
A wonderful film and a great lesson for young people! This movie was a hit in India at the time. Indian films have their own magic, beauty and they teach love, kindness, compassion, sympathy. A film of all times and peoples, which is not a phrase, it is a complete masterpiece. Any phrase deserves to be winged. Acceptable to the life situation of 1973 and for all time. I think it would be nice for all newlyweds to start family life with watching this film, as well as with any of the adaptations of the eponymous work of the great and brilliant Shakespeare, everything is also very clearly and easily shown there. You see, there would be less divorce and family aggression in the world.
The film is quite old, but I watched it for the first time today. Excellent acting, excellent musical accompaniment of one of the best composer duets of the 70-90s, Lakshmicant-Pjarelal. I’ve kept this movie in view for a long time, but for a long time it was not voiced, only with subtitles. And now it's finally done. Even if it is a one-voice voice, but it is even quite good.
Charming Lina Chandvarkar and handsome with a sad look Sanjiv Kumar made a very good screen pair, they believe, worry for them and want them to be together. Sanjiv-ji is irresistible as always, only he could so heartfeltly and touchingly portray his character, a poor guy, but with a very rich and deep inner world. Just bravo!!! I had tears in my eyes when he talked to his wife. And in my head constantly knocked the question: "How can she not notice that Fate gave her the main treasure in life - her husband?" But, a good heart, patience and work will overcome everything. And sooner or later, the epiphany comes, and then people begin to realize and understand all their mistakes. The main thing is that it is not too late.
A very good film, shot in the best traditions of Indian cinema of the 70s. Fans of the unforgettable Sanjiv Kumar must watch! His role here is unlike any of his many roles. However, in Sanjiva, no one role is like another. Always different and beautiful in every way.
