The pianist trap The incorrect surrender of cards is a very good work of a strong Italian director Sergio Gobbi. It turned out to be very slow in development, but very strong in perception picture. It touches on such an age-old topic as punishment for their past crimes and attempts to hide from the inevitable punishment that will sooner or later overtake the criminal. But will he alone be punished? Will the innocent be punished or will he be saved? The viewer will see this at the end of the picture. Personally, I watched this picture with great interest, it was interesting to see how it would end.
In the picture were invited very famous actors of that time. Pierre Vanek, Elsa Martinelli, Robert Ossein, Jean Taupar. Vanek played a virtuoso pianist who never fully understood the trap he was dragged into. E. Martinelli played the role of an innocent girl, who with the help of force was involved in this deception, she wants to help the pianist Jacques get out of this trap, but she is prevented by the heroes of Ossein and Topar. R. Ossein here plays a negative role, he is a punitive, trying to outsmart the people who planned to kill him. In general, I must say that no matter what character Ossein played, he always succeeds in brilliantly spelled characters of his characters. So here, as a Nazi, you look at his game and believe that he is a real German. All the actors played at a quite good level, all their characters turned out to be worthy and interesting.
Almost all the action of the picture, except for the ending, is limited to one large mansion, in it and in its vicinity, and all the main actions of the picture will take place. All plot twists are played out between the four characters named above, in this closed space. The picture turned out to be quite atmospheric in perception and this is not least due to its musical background. The music for the film was written by the magnificent composer Vladimir Kosma. The soundtrack helps to understand the essence of what is happening.
There are some disadvantages in the picture, for example, the hero of P. Vanek well does not look like the hero of Ossein, and in the film he performs his double, but this is still not important, if desired, the minuses can be found in any picture. And so the overall impression of the picture is quite pleasant, after it you experience a good aftertaste.
As a result, it turned out to be a very good, atmospheric film with an interesting, unusual and tough ending. Not everyone will like the movie, it’s definitely an amateur. But fans of the old acting school, and especially the magnificent R. Ossein, this film should like.
