stealth Because there's no description in Yandex or Google. I had to look in English.
I watched the movie on one of the main channels for a long time. I don’t remember the story very clearly, I don’t remember the names. I remember the feeling in the process of watching the film - everything changes, moves, time goes by, and the main character is a kind of fixed axis of this movement. It's kind of frozen in time.
There seems to be an episode in Likhachev’s story where one woman does not remove the white stripes from the windows pasted during the blockade. Although the war is over. It seems to her that the year is not over, and her husband is still alive.
That's the same feeling about a boy's father being kidnapped on his way out of school. .
Let me tell you a little bit about the story.
On the way from school on the street, a boy aged 10-12 is kidnapped. The police can't find any leads. No ransom. Someone, I don’t remember who, speculates that the child was kidnapped for one of the illegal gay clubs, and the father begins a long search. In general, I was struck by the fact that my mother left, and my father continues to ask street prostitutes and find out “appearances”. I remember an episode when he was arranged to visit an expensive private party, with a swimming pool and so on. He's trying to ask the guy he's been offered if he's met GG's son. But the guy is drugged and scared of the “atypical behavior” of the client, jumps out of the window on the second floor of this “club”.
I like the process of searching, the feeling of time wasted. Something reminiscent of the colorful scenes from Zhang Yimou’s “Hero” – yellow autumn changes with a brown landscape of the steppes – as if you feel the running of time around you while you remain the stationary, unchanging center of this movement.
In short, my father spent about a year looking for various brothels and organizations. In the end, he also begins to despair. Suddenly, a policeman calls that a basement was found where children were being filmed in an underground porn studio. The hero simply goes to check on the released children and suddenly recognizes his son in one of the children.
In general, the film is not pathetic, not instructive, but simply drawing attention to one of the problems of our time.
The film in a restrained manner of narration resembles the style of “The Hunt for Veronica” (Veronica Guerin) It does not call for anything, there is no desire to form a slogan or idea, to embellish the appearance or actions of the hero, to “better sell.”
The film struck me. Not even a slippery topic, but what life really is and how we do not want it to be.
The main character is looking for his son almost alone, no one seems to notice his troubles, everyone tries not to see such an uncomfortable problem.
Society is not ready, probably, therefore there is no information about many films.
PS: I’m excited to see How the Germans Stolen Me, but the most detailed information about the film is an article from festivals halfway across the western or eastern hemisphere. In short, it is easier for me to get a Japanese hentai than a Yugoslav film.
I’m not going to make any assessments, because it’s not about cinematography, it’s about the idea of the film, it’s about the nature of the issues raised, and homosexuality is not the most important of them.
