charming, but dangerous The film “Charm” is remembered by vivid visual images: ladies in old outfits at the slaughterhouse, girls circling in dance on the bridge, two girls in white and a guy in red, a mysterious women’s meeting in an ancient castle, where until midnight everyone is in black and red outfits, and at midnight they change into special clothes, a girl in a black cloak on a naked body with a scythe (for mowing grass).
The logic of the movie isn't good. For example, when a heroine named Eva goes out to meet armed people, Mark (the main character) fears that she will be killed. But when the girl returns unharmed, he doesn't even ask her the questions expected in that situation: "How did it go?" Why didn't they touch you?
Mark has a self-confidence bordering on stupidity, and is convinced that everything dangerous must look dangerous. Anything that doesn’t seem dangerous is harmless. He ignores all warnings. And curiosity does not give him peace!
This is a film from the series “Man is in a dangerous place”. As in the Iron Rose, there are no ghosts or vampires, only people, some of whom are no longer adequate and therefore dangerous.
Charm focuses on aesthetics and mood, not on the thoughtfulness of the plot and dialogue.
Personally, this film did not make me seriously worry about any of the characters or heroines, it was just curious how these or other situations would end.
“Charm” is definitely an amateur movie. A lover of scary stories with a romantic bias, occurring in ancient castles. This film is close in spirit to some vampire movies.
