From childhood. O Love for Argentine TV series When people ask me what we watched on TV (or videos) in the early 90s, I think of this series. Very young Andrea and Gustavo showed us the depth of the relationship (and, of course, the very first “soap” and the complexity of actions, illogicality and endless heartache) of Argentine TV series, through their characters – Charo and Mariano. Of course, then there were others - better and worse, more confusing or more fantastic - but the very first bright memory of almost then a teenager was "I want to scream that I love you."
History is as old as the world. The TV world. Handsome heartthrob, his young hot friends, bet. And she's young, tender. With the purest and biggest heart in the world. And gorgeous golden curls! And then there's youth and love. And fear. And cheating. And the first great offense. And the pain of loss. And a baby. And 8 years of misunderstandings and omissions.
Friends are well represented in this series. Both sides. And parents. Their characters are written with such skill that it seems that such people actually exist. Heroes are revealed from different sides. The plot is simple, “bored and very annoying with its naiveté” (quote) for today’s sophisticated viewer, within the framework of universal openness and permissiveness, but it shows much of what is really worth cherishing.
Revisiting many of the times of childhood and youth, I was glad to recall that feeling of fairy tale and trepidation, that wonderful sense of purity and trust.
(Nephew's recommendation: watch in 2019 for girls under 3 years old)
