Anthropomorphism and the novel by Charles Dickens. It would seem that things are incompatible, but not in this case. Before us unfold interesting stories about the characters of the great English writer in a new way. From the novel there are only names, a workhouse and an evil master of the workhouse, but that does not make the picture bad.
The cartoon will certainly appeal not only to preschoolers, but also to older children. Each episode is filled with instructive meaning, a happy ending, an acquaintance with Victorian London. The characters are very funny.
The main characters: a modest but brave puppy Oliver Twist; an enterprising bunny Dodger, who dreams of becoming rich, but friends for him are always more expensive than money; a stupid piglet Charlie (perhaps the only one who annoyed). Their elder friends: a wise fox Fedgin, which sheltered three orphans at home; a wayward dog-"aristocratic" Annushka and a cat Nancy, dreaming of becoming a circus. There are also enemies: the cruel owner of the workhouse, who set a goal to return Oliver to the workhouse, as well as the city bully Sykes. In addition to the above-mentioned villains, there are also single serial enemies.
Among the disadvantages, I can only point to the stupidity of some characters, which I did not notice as a child, but only now. And besides, I did not like that the long-awaited ending – the series with Oliver’s reunion was not made.
