Even in the sand you can see gold if it is pure and shiny. Today, I looked into my list of “objections” (I do this once a month, I check if any of the films hanging there are voiced or not), and there I am waiting for a surprise. Finally, the film "Gold and Sand" voiced. It's done. And this is the third film in the last few months, in which "Chunky Pandey" in the title role. The first watched 2 months ago his film "Lucky", in which he is also in the lead role. I like him. I love him in secondary roles. But he also has some major roles.
There is no description here, so I will give you a little background. This story began many years ago, when the fates of a prostitute, a pimp and a lawyer intertwined. By fateful accident in the hands of the pimp was the daughter of a lawyer, the prostitute was imprisoned for murder, and her illegitimate daughter remained in the care of an inconsolable father. But the illegitimate baby was lucky: the lawyer raised her, endowing her with endless fatherly love, but the legitimate daughter was sold to a brothel. Years later, the life again brought together a lawyer, a prostitute and their daughters who had been released from prison. But the girls grew up in pretty girls and first learned love.
Such a quintessence of the 80s: a love triangle, insidious villains, children who have switched places, sacrifice + these alapist costumes and colorful makeup, which without sunglasses can not look ... But, comrades, I LOOKED THROUGH the film... I was really worried, even crying! I love the movie of the 80s, it is certainly not always great, not always realistic, but in this case - it was a high!
I haven’t seen this in a while. It's 7, 9 years. I really liked her at the time. So I fell in love with her again. What a beautiful, low voice I love! And she's really sincere, she's just natural. Even in the suffering scene, she has really red, weeping eyes. And so pretty - even in all these inconceivable outfits and hairstyles a la "Tina Turner nervously smokes in the sidelines." And what a pair of them with Chanky turned out, just (smack lips) enjoy admiring them. You can't take your eyes off.
I read somewhere that even Anil Kapoor named his daughter Sonam after this actress, whom he really wanted to work with at the time. But it didn't. And he decided to leave the memory of her, so to speak, by calling his daughter her name.
Young Chunky Pandey is of course handsome, and very natural. He is good and plays naturally, but in dances and complaint scenes he is very funny. And how he raced on a motorcycle, and how he fought, just do not look.
This film was found absolutely by accident, according to the filmography Nilam, 3 years ago, recorded myself. I love Neelam, a very good actress.
Villains all credited, especially Aruna Irani (the hostess of the brothel) - such a specific bitch, I wanted to directly strangle (this is a compliment to her) - bitches she gets what you need, exactly 100%. Gulshan Grover, Prem Chopra also as always villains on the look. Oh, there are actors for whom negative roles, their bread, are indispensable. You get so used to them in these images that then it is difficult to perceive them in positive roles, and you constantly wait for them to start dirty again.
Pran, a great actor of those years. Brilliantly played the lawyer who raised his adopted daughter. As always at the top level, there is nothing to complain about.
I liked the whole story, too, and it’s brave to stand up for the love of a prostitute. If only they had brought him to such a bold end... But still, it definitely has a fresh element. For a long time, the film was with subtitles, so I did not watch it, and only today I learned that it already has a voiceover, and I was very happy. I finally waited. I immediately decided to watch it without putting it in a long box. I even regretted not seeing it before. That, again, is just a high. The story is excellent, the actors are super, the music Bappi Lahiri is very beautiful, which is not news. All the music in the movies is beautiful, romantic and touching.
Interestingly, this film was produced by Pahlaj Nihalani, who later became head of the Council of Censors and refused to allow James Bond to kiss his character in the film >>>>>>>>>>
In general, this is the case when, despite the fact that you perfectly see all the shortcomings and shortcomings, you still get a lot of pleasure. I again have such a wild nostalgia for this period began - I feel I will sit for him for a while.
