Strangers The picture begins with a daring bank robbery. The bank is located in a desert area, next to a diamond mine, rough diamonds are sent for storage here, three criminals know well what they are going to do and what should be obtained for them as mining. The criminals are completely ruthless, do not spare anyone, leaving after the robbery the corpses of bank employees and roadside cafe workers. But they themselves suffer losses, one of them, escaping from the pursuit of the police, manages to hide in the mountains, in a small house where two live, before hiding the prey in a nearby abandoned mine. This is where the fun starts. The two are a man named Chamoun (Michelle Constantin) and a girlfriend, May (Zenta Berger), his wife. Shamoun decides to help the fugitive in exchange for half the loot.
Jean-Pierre Desagna has done a quality job, it is done at a very good technical level and keeps his viewer in suspense until the end. The initial scene of the chase leaves the most pleasant impressions, technically it is good, plus the film looks quite tough, it concerns unceremonious scenes of murders, not only pistols and guns are used, but also improvised means, such as an axe.
A fugitive and two residents of a small house find themselves in a difficult situation. The fugitive doesn't want to share with anyone, but he's very curious who these two are and what they're doing here. Chamoun and May, who they find out at the very end, want to take possession of some of the diamonds and go to live in a quiet and peaceful country. But they realize the fugitive is very dangerous. A subtle game begins, taking place not only in physical confrontation, but also affecting the psychological aspect. Everyone wants their own. The director showed this very competently and filigreely, he created an unparalleled atmosphere, while revealing each character very well. The action of the tape, although it takes place against the background of desert nature, but gives the impression of a fairly closed space, because all events occur in a fairly small and limited space.
The film attracted attention primarily by the participation of Michel Constantin and Zenta Berger. They fully justified the expectation from what they saw. Brutal M. Constanten is damn good in his image, and Zenta is just great, watching her is a pleasure. Really cool actors, a beautiful tandem turned out.
The picture turned out with an interesting storyline. A small number of actors, measured but fascinating action, an excellent script and competent directorial presentation, plus this cruel component, violence in the tape is enough with full. All this makes this picture a fascinating pastime.
