Milota is extraordinary. I really like Sachin as an actor. In childhood roles, he was simply matchless, and in his youth, unfortunately, he played mainly second roles: brothers, nephews and other relatives of heroes and heroines. I think it’s totally unfair because his charm, energy and talent deserve so much more. That's why I love movies where he's the main character, not the secondary. In this film, he plays a guy, still a high school student, who is married to a very young girl, completely unaware of the meaning of marriage. After all, he is already entering the time of hormonal storms and love desires, he feels attraction, sympathy and interest for her, turning into love. And she indulges, arranges pranks (adds salt to betel) and all the time goes to her parents, coming to her husband’s house for 1-2 days on big holidays. And so sorry for the guy, he is so drawn to her, so longing for warmth, affectionate look that she can not give him. What desperately sad eyes he had during the Holi holiday as he watched the flirting couples sitting alone on the roof of the house. How he burned in anticipation of a letter from her, and in response received only 'Don't write this again, I'm ashamed. Everyone read this letter and laughed at me. He is in pain, and he tries not to talk to her on her rare visits, hiding his pain, but does not stand up and always forgives her childishness and irrationality. She is sweet and charming, seriously trying to play the right wife, using the advice that her relatives gave her: touch her husband’s feet in the morning, do not eat all day on holiday, but the most important sacrament of marriage is unknown to her, and therefore she cannot understand the torments and experiences of her young husband.
The actors play superbly, the village and the inhabitants are recreated meticulously (which is only a stage in the classroom, when all the students are doing anything but study, while the teacher, who is exhausted from the heat, sleeps in his place). Women's outfits are magnificent, nature views are filmed with love, songs are all for the place, fights and stupid jokes are not. It is impossible not to fall in love with the film, you feel this thrill of first love, mixed with a lack of understanding of your own feelings and annoyance at yourself and others. If you like leisurely films about simple feelings and ordinary people, revealing the culture, traditions and life of India, then I advise you to watch this romantic comedy, raising the problem of child marriage and the struggle for freedom of India: without pathos, without tragedy and tears, but with a slight smile and nostalgia for the unique time of youth and growing up.
