“Apartment” is a vinaigrette of Asian horror clichés. Who and what we just will not see - creaking sounds, long black hair a la "Ring" etc.
My advice to you ... do not look at the lives of strangers!
It would be useful for a girl who spent too much time with binoculars looking at all the background of the neighbors. A series of mysterious suicides will make anyone wonder if everything is normal in this house. I don't know about you, but I'd definitely leave the apartment far away from sin. But we are not talking about me now.
Back to the main character. As a detective, she tries to tie all the facts together. But every day he makes another sacrifice. Are they really victims?
A quiet and friendly neighbor across from the house suffers humiliation from the housemates, which only adds to the questions, why all this hell. The topic of cold revenge is revealed perfectly, the girl is dealt with ruthlessly and cruelly.
The drama of the girl is well revealed, I empathized with the poor guy, but, unfortunately, fell under the hot hand and other characters.
The aftertaste of the film remains mixed. It seems to be a drama, camera work, but the plot itself is lame and spoils the impression.
What kind of girl in the subway and where does she belong to the story itself?
I believed until the end of the film that I would be given some logical explanation for her presence in the film. Oh, no, the director didn't bother to do that.
The crazy guy was also out of place, a lot of inconsistencies, I do not like such errors.
A definite plus for the sounds, the Koreans and Japanese know a lot about it.
The film turned out to be a passing one for me, another ribbon in my movie bank.
Se-jin, accidentally notices in the next house, at 21:56 a light flashes and after that, one of the tenants commits suicide in the house. I learned about this film from the music video of the Japanese rock band the GazettE - chizuru, I saw and fell in love with the band, the song, and the film. The video was watched a long time ago, five years ago, and the song is among the favorites so far, and this film turned out to be watched only now, so there are so many emotions, I can barely restrain myself not to give out the plot, it is very interesting here with an unusual presentation and, good shooting and beautiful actresses. Although the film copies the classic techniques of horror, still suspense in this film is its own and unique, it is despite the scarcity of frightening moments, still scary.
The film is very dramatic, the cruelty of people to an ordinary girl who lost her parents is scary and real, and this reality is frightening.
And the main character Se-jin, a beautiful, kind and sympathetic girl who accidentally met a crippled girl, seeks to help and save her, despite the fact that people around do not believe and do not listen, still stayed and helped.
Well, the ghost with the usual long hair in his eyes, in a long dress, with unusual body movements, and is usually terrible as always. All these are pluses, and the disadvantages can be attributed to the girl in red I just did not understand who it is and why she is here.
The film is insanely touching with the cruelty that is inherent in people and the ruthlessness, anger that came from a lonely girl who did not want to be alone.
The clock again shows 21:56
The film was watched at the insistent recommendation of a colleague (when I was somewhat disappointed after watching the original Apartment 1303 and was killed in the wild by an absolutely squalid remake of the same name with Misha Barton), who assured me that the Apartment features a more original plot and an unusual ending.
The beginning so desperately reminded me of the above films that I wanted to stop watching after 20 minutes. This is the first time I haven’t seen this movie. But from the second I decided to do it. I have no regrets.
The beauty of Asian films is that, as a rule, the legends are always the same, so their films are easy to compare and evaluate one from another. Here is a seemingly mundane story: a dark-haired girl – the main character, a dark-haired girl – either a neighbor, or a ghost and a deep secret of an apartment building, which, like a tangle, unfolds throughout the film.
Hate cannot be killed. It will come to life and be reborn, killing all those who caused it. I would not call the end original, but the legend of this unfortunate disabled girl is still interesting.

You can not call the film the embodiment of horror, but in many moments goosebumps ran on the skin.
Yoo-yeon reminded me of someone, who I've seen before, in the movies "The Call" and "The Curse." Hair covering the face, short and sharp movements combined with a nasty growl and dress, a la Kutisake-onna (Woman with a cut mouth), this is the embodiment of all the fears and phobias of any Asian. The image of a long-haired, "creaking" girl, alas, boring. But that's the only drawback I've seen in this movie.
I have to give credit to the actors. Not just for a beautiful appearance, but for a believable image. Not only the main, but also minor characters showed a real fear of the “face” of death.
Interesting story. Many South Korean films are confusing and boring. For example, “Parallel Life” or “Hypnosis”, you watch a movie with the thought “well, tell me who the killer is, or I’ll fall asleep now.” "Apartment" is the exact opposite. The whole film was sitting in tension and waiting, so I didn’t even notice how it flew.
I also like the fact that the film makes sense. Sometimes, the film is interesting, but there is no meaning. Here the cause is revealed, which, as if attracts, it forces to empathize and understand.
If you close your eyes to the “bad” image, the film is great!

...or "Old story and implementation in a new form"
Nothing happens in the world for nothing. There will be resistance to any action, and for every bad action there will be revenge. This is the basis of everything we used to call “horror”. And Asian films have long proved that this concept always works, and there is no hiding from it.
But if in American films, police officers run after murderers, then in Asian films the emphasis is on the restless souls of victims, more often than not they are cute young girls who died necessarily in white long dresses with long black hair. And the main characters will have to understand the mystery of their appearance, and the causes of death at first glance unrelated people.
Everything would be nothing, but really the tape does not stand out, it seems, nothing new. And yes, I already want to close my eyes, depressed by the understanding that nothing new will have to wait, when suddenly there is a vengeful ghost (painfully familiar from the distant “Curses” and “Calls”), and in an incomprehensible way interest returns. Maybe because somewhere deep awakens interest in another mystery and just the desire to find out what happened there again?
The horror component, it should be noted, probably, does not allow the viewer to escape from the screen. Yes, not new, but quite exciting and interesting, as made qualitatively and the picture remains in memory. By the end, you seem to understand the plot, figuring out who is dying, why and, most importantly, who the vengeful spirit is. And having dealt with this, comes to the explanation and the main story, where the viewer directly learns the whole truth (which, in fact, he already guessed), that everything puts in its place, confirms the guesses of those sitting on the other side of the screen and pleases with another pop-up to the last ghost.
Very impressive looked fleeting, but such a funny hero - Shin Jun-soo, who, if not for a male face, was mistaken by many for the likeness of a "dead girl in white." And, in fact, although he did not play a role, he was a little amused. By the way, the plot is based on such a concept as “hate”, which carries a vast collection of all sorts of ideas, so similar to revenge. And together, these two things have turned into an “Apartment”, which, although not different from something really new, can scare and make you strain, if not brush off and sigh: “and we have already seen this.”

To be honest, I have always admired Asian horror. 'Call', 'Curse', 'Phobia' - all this is very scary. But here'Apartment'...
Of course, the film has advantages. Although I didn’t like him very much, but I got excited. 'Here’s going to be something sharp' or 'Now this girl with long hair has to jump out' – these thoughts haunted me throughout the film. Well, of course, the actress liked, very beautiful, but, in principle, in South Korea in the film and music industry you can not see an ugly face.
But the minuses of the picture are unambiguous - a stupid, just insanely stupid plot, as if the director just wanted to scare the audience and therefore gathered everything in a pile, forgetting to logically arrange the places of the event. Who was that girl on the subway? What's going on in the movie? At first I thought that due to the constant tension I watched the film inattentively, but after the second viewing I realized that there was no meaning in this movie.
And yet, this movie managed to scare me... So we'll put
