Oh, butterfly, butterfly… Anyone who has translated this creation is a hero. I'm a translator by profession, but I was vomiting from the absurdity of what was happening on the screen in the 20th minute, somewhere after the song "We don't want education" (in college it was performed, by the way). I couldn't stand it and spit on the voiceover at about the same moment. But these guys – I don’t know what site they are from, they are just some altruists Borschov A. N., who spend their time watching this kin, young Vikram, plunged into the 90s, their youth, and generally had a good time.
I decided not to jump on Vikram again (oh, I said something awkward, I mean, in filmography) and watch everything from the beginning of his career. This task is complicated by the fact that many films are not on the film. Just not. This refers to the recently reviewed Tamil King, which for some reason was shown on the India TV channel under the name "Pretty", but it was generally about a magician. And "The World" is not Vikram's first film either, there were three or four more before it. Of course, it was interesting to see the young Vic. But... Not exactly what I expected. Vikram is an actor who went to his fame for a very long time, and we all know him as a mature man. And you know what? I’ve come to the conclusion that at 50 he appeals to me more than at 25. There are such people, especially in men it is noticeable (women are also like this, but there are more men) - with age they only get better, become more charismatic. This is a case in point. Young Vic is wildly similar to Nagarjuna and Freddie Mercury at the same time. I don't know how it can be, but I have these associations. He is young, of course, is still “dried up”, but even then there was not a drop of stiffness and downtroddenness in him. From what he was offered, he squeezed to the maximum and honestly tried to portray love for this fool - his partner. About the actress Aishwarya is a separate conversation. In some scenes, yes, the beauty, especially in the sari, but for Vic it's a bit big and it cuts the eye. Her heroine is pure fiction of the inflamed brain of the screenwriter. The sore spot of the picture. Myra's suffering (which I didn't see, but assumed) was cheap. The storyline was at odds with her actions and actions. Everything was unnatural, played. The desire to crack the World was 100 times greater than the desire to worry for it.
It's so ridiculous...
In general, about the film - recalled the production in the puppet theater, it looks not even funny, but boring. Totally unrevealed images. Many mistakes and stupidities.
Tell me how to react to such a scene, for example:
Mira fell on the asphalt and she vomited (drinking in the evening with one glass of “cure” for the cold). In short, it releases the stomach... Nearby stands Jiva (Vikram) and watches. A crowd of believers walks by. Notice the world.
Oh! What a good sign! What month is it in?
Vikram (unfazed):
- Fourth.
- That's good! - and they go on.
It was stupid.
The scene when she was riding a bike with the boys, and a truck with bandits chases them. She herself escapes, and the boy almost forcibly pushes under the truck, and then on his grave arranges a performance.
Or giving birth during a photo. It's a bit of a fantasy. The girl gives birth, and they tell her to sit still! Let's take a human picture!
Nothing really happens on the screen for two hours. Mira witnesses a murder and is chased by thugs. Vikram runs around with her and kind of protects (he learns by the end of the film why she's being chased). Do not forget to make the world a child in running.
The finale is a blatant excess of absurdity.
What I really liked was the song about butterflies, which is also the background music of the film. It's an amazing clip. Because of this song, you can forgive the whole film – and the fool Aishwarya, and the lack of plot. Anyone who is going to watch the film, you can start with this clip.
I can’t recommend this film to everyone, but Vikram fans will not hurt to read it.
