The mystery of the town of San Melas. Henry Silva is a mysterious rider. A good production from a well-known director specializing in the production of series and television productions. Black Noon is a film made for television. Made with minimal costs and investments, a small budget per person. But the tape has a number of advantages, first of all, a good atmosphere and a good suspense.
The picture begins with a scene of a fire, a church is burning and a mysterious girl looks at all this action with a detached glance, in whose hands there is a cat. The whole scene is accompanied by musical accompaniment, which gives off mysticism and mystery. The beginning is already setting up something interesting. And so it turned out, the picture left a very pleasant impression. All the action takes place in a small town, lost somewhere in the desert. There are very few people in this town who have a secret. In this mysterious town and brings the heroes of the picture, the priest and his wife. What kind of mystery is revealed at the very end. The denouement, for those who are fond of films of this plan will probably not be a novelty, such films and with such endings abound, I will not call otherwise the future viewer of this picture will guess what is what. It is all about how it is presented and shown, and with this, in my opinion, everything is in order in the picture.
Screen action occurs slowly and measuredly. The speakers don't have to wait. The picture takes a halo of mystery and mystery. The tension is felt in each frame.
The film lit up such famous actors as Ray Milland and Henry Silva. Henry Silva in the image of a mysterious horseman, to whom the inhabitants of the town pay tribute and fear him as a black death, inimitable. He has a small role in the film, but it determines who he is to be known near the end. And throughout the film, it remains to puzzle over who he really is. Yvette Past in the image of a silent and mysterious woman is beautiful. Her heroine will conduct rituals associated with magic and witchcraft, her role, just like all the inhabitants of the town, will be clarified in the end.
Black noon, in its category, turned out to be a good picture. There is tension, there is mystery, there are good actors, there is a strong director. There'd be a bigger budget. But what is available was quite enough to build an interesting and fascinating picture.
