Here Moore — James Bond do service in mi-6. The elegant, noble criminal adventurer of the 60s, travels around the world, expropriates rich criminals, exposes insidious villains, saves the defenseless, charms the beauty, leaves the police with a nose, and himself with a modest reward and an immodest name “Saint”.
Simon Templar is an extraordinary criminal of international class, whose talent, enterprise and skill provide him with a comfortable existence, luck, resourcefulness and self-control - no criminal record, determination, courage and agility - reputation, style, manners and nobility - fame. All this, together with a fair irony and wit, make him a very cute and extremely successful protagonist.
The series in general is extremely competently made and is of interest as a milestone in the development of series. In addition to the plot standard - adventures in interesting exotic locations, a benchmark was set for the ratio of price, quality and number of dynamic and exciting episodes. Shot economically, without extra costs, at an outstanding (up to 2 episodes a week, and only set 118!) pace and almost all in the studio premises, while well-thought-out and skillfully staged pavilion scenes, skillfully combined with rare shots of real cities and other full-scale shootings, produced the effect of a very expensive film.
Of course, now the plots seem naive, the fights are Indian, the scenery is primitive, and the quality of the picture is low. However, during this time, the series not only lost, but also acquired advantages. Types, furnishings, language, fashion – all this has become a new highlight. A gallant and cheerful gentleman fights back the harsh and gloomy villains in the real 1960s. Holiday. The last color seasons I watched with unexpected pleasure and highly recommend to try, and fans of Moore like James Bond, they are just a must see. This is a very positive impression.
They speak very well. Mostly correctly, slowly, with a beautiful language. Despite the emphasis of regular villains and other foreigners of varying degrees of exoticism and language, it is quite possible to do without subtitles, especially since it is not easy to find them.
