Her Majesty's ship Coventry I saw the news about plans to make a film on the destroyer "Coventry" I do not know whether this initiative is alive or not. This documentary where the stories of real sailors of the destroyer are illustrated by scenes shot on the ship of that time, and real footage of the Falklands War in my opinion very well illustrates that such a film would be very interesting and spectacular. The Falklands is the only well-described war with confrontation, missile ships and jet aircraft, in itself such a fight would be good on the screen, and besides the combat path of the Coventry, which was in the most dramatic places of this fight in its own way unique.
At first, the long-range watch along with the same type of Sheffield and Glasgow, where Sheffield died and Glasgow were damaged. Then the role of bait along with the corvette "Broadsworth" to distract the Argentine aircraft from landing ships. Broadsward was damaged and Coventry itself sunk. But during this battle path, he shot down several aircraft and damaged a patrol ship.
It is a pity that such a feature film will not appear.
Interestingly, 25 years after the war and already decommissioned ships of those types, the British still remain silent about the use of active jamming stations in that war, mentioning only the staging of passive ones. It is no coincidence that the Exosets hit only those ships that either did not have such protection at all, like the Atlantic Conveyor, or as the Sheffield, on which all this was disabled during a satellite communication session.
