“This film tells the audience how innocent civilians suffer during the war.” On the advice of a friend of mine from Beirut, I watched this wonderful film. After I went to Lebanon, I think 90 percent of the film is true. I don’t know if that’s true, but it felt like there were only two professional artists in this movie, the rest of them were real people with real stories. And when they tell their stories, they tell the stories they witnessed. At least that's what the picture is about.
Naturality is the word that characterizes this film. Another natural part of the movie is the taxi driver. He's just like the taxi drivers in Lebanon. He's not easy. You could even say he's a jerk. Probably because it has been broken many times. But he's just like the people we met in Lebanon. Exactly, that he's a good man. The director wanted to convey this idea to the audience. He did not try to make him a hero or a noble man. He was able to show Tony a good man.
Best of all, of course, played the main character (Zayna). You really feel for this woman. The artist managed to convey the whole range of feelings of the heroine. I just saw a beautiful woman.
The music that sounds in the course of the film, it is not even music, just variations, as I thought was performed on folk instruments. It was very organic.
Paintings of destroyed and bombed Lebanon, as you can not accurately convey the atmosphere of those days. The idea of this film was largely due to the fact that the film was shot even when the ashes on the ruins did not cool. And this idea of the director further enhances the effect of the picture.
Very high-quality film. I recommend it.
