The worst monsters on Earth “We need psychology more.” We need to understand human nature more. Because the only real danger is the person. He's a great danger. Unfortunately, we don't realize that. We don't know anything about the man. Not much. We are the source of all possible future evil.
d/f "Face to face with Carl Gustav Jung(c)
At the moment when I was just going to find this film at least with English subtitles, I watched the recently released satire in the title, which is a subspecies of crustaceans. It showed a social choice - either you try to start a family with another half, or you are transformed into a desired animal. And after watching that movie, in the comments to it, I came across a mention of the movie "White Square." I looked at the situation with the translation, expecting to learn about it from the reviews of local movie fans, and they were not. Not a single one!
So I found this movie and I went into fearful observation. Fear from the fact that this director does not reach a dozen paintings, but he is no longer young.
When in anticipation of the first frames there was a text with a poetic foreword, I believed in the success of this film, even before the beginning of its first minute - since over the years I have noticed an infallible sign of the success of the film - if the film opens some semantic load voiced by some uppermost thought, then this film is made with soul, and executed at the highest level. This time my “sign” worked unmistakably.
The groundwork is such (even in the plot) that involuntarily recalls the film adaptation of 1984, from which many cinematic dystopias went: a world in which everything is verified with accuracy to the most unpredictable detail. A world that is terrible to imagine, but which can exist at least in a parallel universe. And the fact that the possibility of realizing what is happening is possible in our near (and any) future, it becomes uneasy from the thought that it will be impossible to prepare for this, since it is impossible to be ready for the daily stress that has not yet come, but will definitely come.
If you read this review and you sometimes get uncomfortable with the intricacies of the plot during its demonstration, then I should tell you that the film is interspersed with several intervals of the lives of all the main characters, telling about the course of their lives.
The fate of the heroes I consider sufficiently disclosed. The plot part the versatility of its meanings is unshakably clear to the viewer. The way the actors played: expressive, lively, believable - helps with all my heart to feel their position in the demonstrated circumstances.
For me, to this day - the best satire since the film adaptation of "1984". In some places and superior.
