Who are you? What is your name? My name is Lisa… How often do we get irritated by our parents, especially in transition? They bother us with unnecessary care, do not understand, do not hear, do not see in us what we are, do not support us as we would like, load us with unnecessary work around the house. And how great that puberty is, we can finally look at our parents with different eyes, understand them. But the girl Lisa will not have such a chance, her mother is unlikely to ever understand her, stop eating, throwing new homework. Her mother will not even remember who Lisa is or what her name is.
“My Name is Lisa” is a short film about a 13-year-old girl and her mother with Alzheimer’s disease, about how early some have to grow up, become independent. It should be noted that the film is made as if we are behind this family peeping through a keyhole, or watching another social reality show, and although the reception is not new, it leaves a lasting impression.
P.S. Call your parents...
