Emotions to the studio! I love kidnapping movies. But this one... I'm not saying it's bad, no.
But hell, where is the emotion in this movie?! Kidnapped a man, his fate is unknown, the family sent his finger, what to expect from the kidnappers?
Anne Casigny as the wife of a kidnapped powerful man. I was waiting for something like "My husband has been kidnapped!" I'll give everything, just bring him back alive! Take the money, whatever you need! Anne! Where are the tears? Where is despair and pain? Where's the throwing and the feeling of helplessness? Where is the light of hope in your eyes? Even when she found out that her husband was cheating on her, I saw only timid tears in my eyes. She certainly doesn’t have to get hysterical and cry, but her reaction as a woman could have been, to put it mildly, more emotional.
Even the dog played better, for God! At least he wagged his tail, I don't know. The dog is the only creature that has been waiting for his return. Everyone else was just thinking about how it would be like to return him without paying the sum demanded by the kidnappers.
Ivan Attal in the role of the unfortunate prisoner. Although, frankly, the whole film represented Adrian Brody in this role. That would be great! Oh, come on. I'll give it to you, it was good. He's probably the only "human emotion" in the movie. He conveyed both despair and pain, a sense of hopelessness and at the same time hope for liberation. I believe!
Result: The film is boring, drawn out, only minutes with the main character are interesting. For me, it is predictable (perhaps the experience of watching a huge number of films on the subject of abductions affects).
I will bet three exclusively for the efforts of Ivan Attal.
