War of annihilation. A week of watching Mihai Volunteer films. Film 2nd.
The second film Micha Volunteer was also about the war. More specifically, one of her many tragedies. Here Mikhai is not the main role, but a secondary one turned out to be, but very significant.
The Great Patriotic War differed from previous historical conflicts by the special cruelty of the enemy that attacked us. It was an action aimed not only at the conquest of territory and the seizure of foreign lands, but also at the destruction of the Soviet people, the Slavic and Asian nations, declared inferior. The Nazis were not even going to turn us into slaves, their goal was simply to destroy everyone who did not belong to the “true higher Aryan nation”, they simply could not destroy everyone at once, so they did not stand on ceremony. Some Soviet war films, often based on real events, convincingly show this.
In this film, children from the Dvina orphanage, led by a director and a teacher, evacuated from Belarus, but could not get there because the train was bombed. Remaining in the occupation, they wintered in the nearest village, and in the spring the director, Nikolai Dashkevich, decided to return with the children back. In the building of the orphanage there were some supplies of food, and it seemed to him shameful to eat the peasants further. The fascists, having learned about this, decide to conduct an operation called "Deer Hunting", believing that using children as hostages and bait, they will be able to lure the Belarusian partisans out of hiding and destroy the detachment. However, Belarusian patriots are planning their own operation to save children from fascist oppression. Whose plan will work faster and who will win?
The film is very touching, little actors, look so weak and hungry that they unwittingly believe and sympathize. They hide and cover a curly Jewish boy, but do not always distinguish between their own and strangers. However, their leaders are also mistaken with this, which leads to tense plot twists.
Vladimir Safonov, Dmitry Pisarenko, Mikhail Zhigalov in negative roles, from positive heroes, only Fedor Sukhov was remembered (policeman Mikhail), but he also has a bright image - his hero wears the skin of a traitor.
Nikolai Grinko (Dashkevich) plays such a character that you do not understand whether he is positive, or whether it is time to shoot him, since simple-mindedness, reaching to idiocy, is already criminal.
In this case, the film is not just about war. It is equally about the consequences of human stupidity. Therefore, according to the author's idea, the director of the orphanage does not lead the children immediately after the bombing, they have already wintered in the village, and they are offered to stay there. As a result of not a coincidence, but the stubbornness of the director, half-starved children get into a difficult situation, become bait and hostages of the fascists. Stupidly simple and naive director, babbles provocateur "on the simplicity of the soul" the whole operation to save children. That is, the whole battle, the death of people is entirely on his conscience. But somehow she doesn't bother him. It is clear that such tragedies in the war was not one. But in this film, she's obviously tied to a completely irresponsible person. At the same time, the director naively argues "these are children" - they say, the Germans will not touch them. And this is not in the summer of the 41st, but in the spring of the 42nd, when it became clear to everyone in the occupied territory what the Germans are: neither old men, nor women, nor children are spared. He added to the partisans, who already have a lot of problems, jobs (food provision, security, medical care) and anxiety for children - and does not even feel guilty.
Surprised one of the German officers, he does not want the death of children, he orders to shoot flamethrowers at the building where they, in his opinion, are, and almost beats in hysteria that the partisans do not go. It is supposedly their soulless fault that he is forced to act so cruelly with children. How did German youth get this propaganda into their heads that they saw everything only through the prism of their ideas? I read in some facts about the war that such officers raped women, deliberately infecting them with sexually transmitted diseases, especially severely beat pregnant women, mocking their suffering, some were dissected by destroying the future mother with the child, old people were buried alive in the ground, well, children were used for their own purposes, i.e. everything worked for complete destruction.
The movie just shocked me. Of course, I read about all these events and watched other films, but then I was so shocked that it happened to children who could not protect themselves from the Nazis. The actors who have played all the adult roles are just heroes to me, because it’s like you have to get in touch with what’s happening to play like that! Thank you to everyone who created "Deer Hunt"! This kind of movie should be so that everyone knows what happens when evil and cruelty take over the world!
It should be noted the music for the film of the composer Eugene Ptichkin, especially the musical composition from the song Fairy tales walk around the world ...", the words to which Plyatskovsky wrote . A good Soviet dubbing of the Baltic and Moldovan artists who played in this film. Mikhaya Volontira duplicates Valery Ryzhakov. The script is written on real events by the former commander of the partisan detachment Mikhail Prudnikov.
Interesting fact - in the film there is a Spanish boy in an orphanage, and a Spaniard in a partisan detachment and this corresponds to the real story. In Soviet orphanages were children of the fallen Spanish Communists, and part of the Spaniards after the defeat at home, participated in the Second World War and were in Soviet partisan detachments.
Again, the courage and heroism of people is amazing for the sake of saving children. At any cost, they had to be taken from the enemy. And the victory was won by ingenuity, correct calculation of the enemy’s psychology, assertiveness and even a little brazenness, which, of course, the Germans do not expect from the Soviet partisans. The film is still interesting detective line , who is an enemy agent, who is a double agent, and who is his own, who works undercover, and who is the true traitor? Several people are on suspicion. This movie is very interesting!
