Rome, although not the largest, but a metropolis with its eternal problems. One of the main - transport, with its traffic jams, preventing to be at the right time in the right place. It may seem strange, but the Italians, for the most part, move along the roads not at all on Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini or Bugatti, preferring to sell them to foreign nouveau riches, but on tiny cars with minimal fuel consumption or, most often, on nimble scooters. So one of the main characters Camilla had such an iron pony, only the driver from it was bad, because of what she often got into trouble. It's clearly not her day. The last person she saw through the closing doors of the ambulance was a handsome guy holding out his shoes. Apparently, a gust of light Roman breeze Panentino, called the breeze of love, burst into the car and Camilla fell in love with the young man at first sight. She only managed to notice the edge of her eye the inscription on his bag "Twinkled", which later will help to find him in the eponymous bench, selling various vintage things of the 60-70s of the last century. She was suddenly hired. So began another complicated love story.
For Laura Lucetti, this is only the third film, but with each new work, her directorial handwriting becomes more confident, and she writes the scripts herself. This picture tells about the lives of ordinary residents of Rome. Wealth is the last place in the system of their values, the main thing is that they are passionate about what they love, keep the connection of times, giving a second life to things that could end up in a landfill. Love is certainly also at the top of their priorities. But it's not easy to find her. Camilla (Dian Fleury) loves, but cannot admit it, because the heart of Matteo (Andrea Bosca) is occupied with an unrequited and hopeless feeling for Joanna - a girl who is quite consistent with the modern trend and professing same-sex love. Frankie (Julia Michelini) is hard to get to know ordinary guys and she sublimates her feelings to the Internet correspondence with Jud Law, whom she was lucky to see once at arm’s length. She sends him letters every day hoping to get at least one answer. These are difficult relationships in the collective of the store, the owner of which is on the verge of bankruptcy. His family life is at the seams.
There are no deep philosophical thoughts in the picture, everything is simple, understandable and without any ideas. The focus is on ordinary everyday issues. Why do people spend their energy on achieving the impossible without noticing what is next? Which is more important, family or favorite business? The list of questions is easy to continue, but for the first acquaintance with the film is enough. The finale of the picture is completely unexpected. This is simply impossible to imagine in a Hollywood picture. It is clear that the author sought to ring the plot, but in addition, there is a serious suspicion that the adherent of same-sex love is not only Joanna.
The play of the actors is simple and sincere. They seem not to play, but live the situations offered to them, so everything looks quite natural. The video is complemented by good music.
In Hamburg, the film does not claim to be a revelation. It simply shows the modern life of Italy, which is usually perceived from a fairy tale-like side, especially if you judge it from numerous photos in magazines and on the Internet, but in these undoubtedly fantastic scenery live ordinary people with the same problems. They are no different from most of us and there is a certain charm of the film.
