'Commander, I trusted you. I cannot judge the truthfulness of this picture, for there was no Israeli army, but there is no doubt that the spirit of the army was transmitted.
In a platoon of soldiers gathered completely different personalities: from aggressive neurotics to gays, from careerists to drug dealers. Each character is unique, and what is most interesting, in just two hours the viewer has time to get to know each of them. So full and meaningful to present the characters, not every director will be able to.
Here it is difficult to divide the roles into main and secondary, but personally I was very hooked by the line of relations between commander Beni and Alon, performed by Michael Aloni and Oz Zahavi, respectively. One of the brightest parts of the plot is twisted on them, and the unexpected ending, when, it would seem, nothing can change rapidly, turns the idea of these characters.
In the film there is almost no musical accompaniment, except, perhaps, those songs that are performed by the characters themselves, and this is another detail that allows you to feel the life of soldiers. At a certain point, it seems that you are watching a documentary work.
The film is not for everyone, but it is recommended for viewing, at least purely for educational purposes. Dover Koshashvili did a great job, and as a result, an interesting movie was released that will not let you get bored.
