Revenge and hatred as the meaning of life. The war between the Monsalve and Barragán families has been going on for a long time. Because of the long-running murder of one of Monsalvet. Plus, beautiful Alina. The bride of Nando Barraghan in the past, the wife of Mani Monsalve in the present. And these families are ready to fight for many more years. All except Nadia Monsalve and Arkangel Barraghan. The two decide to end the war with the help of a common child. But how difficult it is to fight for your love, when there are so many relatives around, thirsting for blood.
Nando and Mani are two supermachos. They compete in everything: in the number of corpses, money, drugs, even in who will “make more children” to prostitutes. The characters are funny and mostly illogical.
I have never seen the main characters more stupid and disgusting than Alina. Immediately did not like, and after thinking of her husband, a gangster, a murderer and a rude man, to make an aristocratic lord, it became clear that Alina is just a fool. These episodes made me laugh, especially the scene where Alina tells Mani what she wants him to be. Well, you should have married an educated, sophisticated diplomat, Alynochka! That's all. Demands that Mani left the drug business, and immediately gladly accepts the expensive estate bought by Mani, enthusiastically chooses chic furniture. The whole series was annoying.
However, all the women in the series with bums, as well as men, in fact. There were a lot of musi-pusi Barragans with prostitutes who got pregnant overnight. I did not like the relationship of Nadia and Arkangel with incessant syusukaniya not to the place and not to the time, with endless vows, sometimes delusional. Expected a more interesting story of the main characters, more action, dynamics, less nonsense and cliches (like the penetration of Vanessa and Nadia into the house of Maelo, in the open area, behind the backs of friendly guards, or kidnapping pregnant Nadia from the car – funny).
I don’t know if that’s the purpose of the show, but despite the gunfire, the bombings, the drugs, and the whole war, I’ve long seen it as a comedy. And how else can one perceive, say, the conclusion of an agreement on the rules of war between families, held in the church (!) in the presence of the padre and certified (!) by a notary? And Mona's madness and the tree show that Nando took to Alina's hospital isn't comedy? Isn't Alina a comedic character?
The ending is logical, sad and a bit philosophical - sometimes it's enough to ask for forgiveness to change fate. Too bad Nando and Mani did it too late. My sympathies in this series were on the side of the Barragans. Many characters, of course, will not be counted to the final.
