USSR; late 80s of XX century
Seva / Eugene Pivovarov / - a schoolboy with not the best academic performance, whose father is often called to school
Vitya /Dmitry Golovin / - a friend of Seva, who once decided to explore with him the origins of the names of settlements, and who learned about the ancient treasure of Prince Udach Andreevich, which is hidden in the places where they live.
Nikolai /Vladimir Steklov / – father of Seva, head of the library
Vladimir / Boris Galkin / - Viti's father, a worker at the plant, friendly with Nikolai
Elina Romanovna / Svetlana Kryuchkova / - teacher of Seva and Viti, who gave the task to children - to come up with a new harmonious and modern name for the streets of their small settlement
This funny movie is perfect for the whole family. Here many people will recognize themselves, plunge into nostalgia or just look with interest how everything was then, and what is no longer there.
I really liked the pair Steklov and Galkin, more charming and funny parents I have not seen. Apparently, the men were friends in childhood, and now they are forced to go to school, listen to the remarks of the teacher and jointly punish, i.e., educate their unlucky, as the same teacher claims, sons.
In the course of the picture, the boys meet different people: a well-to-do meat seller, an archaeologist who is passionate about his work, a real bandit, and a music teacher who is proud of his ancient family. Everything that happens causes a good smile.
I was surprised to find out when the credits began that the script was written by Valery Priemykhov. I was even more surprised to learn that the film was shot at all based on his story, I did not know that Priemykhov was also a writer. A talented person is talented in everything.
In general, a good film that can be interesting for both children and adults.
