Sucupier. Sukupira is a coastal resort town with everything but its own cemetery. Rare dead people have to be buried in the middle of nowhere. Federico Valdivieso, the new mayor, fulfilled a campaign promise and built a cemetery. Only the dead are missing for the grand opening, but this is the problem. The fact is that Sukupira is just a dream of any Ministry of Health. Not only do people almost never die, but they don’t even get sick. The only doctor is always busy with his girlfriend, the cemetery is empty, and the only pharmacy is on the verge of bankruptcy.
The series seemed to me boring and somewhat plotless with a very slow development of the story. There are many characters, they all do something, but the action stands still. Too many dinners at the house of the Lineros sisters, as well as the follies and antics of Daniela and girlfriends. There are no villains in the series, only comical bugs. All love stories are simple and uncomplicated, the authors did not come up with any difficulties and obstacles to the heroes. Couples in the series appear somehow very troubleless and no one interferes with them. Maybe that’s why there is no fire or zest in them, or whatever, and maybe that’s why no couple catches.
Things only change a little by the middle of the series, with Manuel Diablo appearing and Esteban and Barbara's story giving a crack. It becomes more interesting to observe the Rafael-Barbara line and Manuel's past.
The obvious disadvantages include the character of Sofia. I didn't like everything about her - the game, the character, the hair, the clothes. The pluses are the participation of my favorite Chilean actors A. Rudolfi, F. Rees, M. Pesutich, A. Rejeves, as well as the search for the dead for the inauguration of the cemetery. And, of course, I would not guess whose funeral will open this cemetery.
Many actors look a little unusual. For example, long-haired Raphael and Ramiro, slicked Diogenes, unshaven and wearing Christian glasses, and Diogenes, by the way, I consider the best acting work of the series. But the score is still low. "Sukupira" is not the most interesting Chilean series.
