Multiple modes of death A crazy student of the medical faculty created a very unusual drug of psychotropic action, when taking which the patient experiences his own death in the most terrible way. To test the full potential of this elixir, the doctor found a suitable victim who was to become a real guinea pig.
Filmed in 2006 by German director Sebastian Radtke, Psychotic is an example of a microbudgetary, if possible very inventive gore horror, shot solely on the enthusiasm of the director and actors involved in the film, for whom Psychotic was the first and last film work. The main characters in the tape are few, and therefore all the frank scenes of violence, however, devoid of any realism, are farmed to one heroine, the nameless Frau performed by Caroline Meyer, over whom the character of Kai Petzold is skillfully mocked. And if at first the film, thanks to a good setup, looks interesting, then in the future the picture becomes boring gore, for which the 64-minute timekeeping seems too long.
Sebastian Radtke appeared in the film not only as a director, but also as a screenwriter, producer and cameraman, but from this multifunctionality pretty much suffered a picture resembling a home video, flavored with bloody, but very dull and unrealistic special effects ("Sadisticum" of the same director was much better).
About such artistic nuances of the film as the play of actors or the soundtrack, it is better to quietly, because the low rating of the film is a vivid confirmation that nothing outstanding, even for gore, in this film is not.
So, if you are looking for high-quality gore-horror, the tape "Psychotic", although it is able to brighten up your leisure, but it will not deliver much pleasure.
