This is a great mini-series!
Since Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun in 1922, the story of the young ruler has been shrouded in mystery. This documentary aims to answer some of the many questions historians have asked about both Tut's life and his death.
What sets this documentary apart from many others about Pharaoh Tut is that Dr. Zahi Hawass and his scientific team try to use specific scientific evidence to support their many theories, which provides a stunning viewing only from a forensic perspective.
Dr. Zahi Hawass acts as a sleuth in the sense that he uses the deductive method to evaluate many artifacts that have been preserved but forgotten to find clues to help piece together Tut’s genealogy, while mummy DNA tests throw up more surprises and mysteries.
However, time constantly makes adjustments to the results of basic research. The boy pharaoh now has a pantheon of remains of biological ancestors, but the correlation of many of them with specific historical figures is still controversial or even impossible.
