Cold block James Cameron’s iconic film Titanic has been loved by me since childhood. I've seen it many times and this film is a masterpiece and a film for all time. The story of the Titanic captured my imagination as a child. The iceberg that sank the giant ship stirred the imagination. There were more questions than answers. Where did this block of ice come from? Why wasn't she noticed? Was it really huge? Where and how long did it swim in the ocean?
I’ve read and watched a lot about the Titanic and this iceberg. This story is so unique that everyone has heard it, and everyone knows the movie Cameron. I have always believed that the most interesting stories in cinema are based on real events. What could be more interesting than the truth? What really happened? Nothing.
I came across this documentary by accident. In general, such films from the Air Force are respected by me. They shoot high-quality and interesting documentary tapes, and each story is laid out on shelves. The animal world, space, the most diverse corners of the planet, the mysteries of history - all this is revealed wonderfully by the BBC films.
So when I see a movie made by the Air Force, I think it’s going to be cool. After watching the BBC's dramatic documentary Hiroshima, I included this story about the iceberg and the Titanic. Expecting to see something very interesting, waiting for me, to put it mildly, a major disappointment.
The creators of this documentary recreated the events of the iceberg that sank the Titanic. We see how and when the iceberg formed and its long history of traveling across the Atlantic Ocean. We see how a snowflake with a lot of time turned into a huge iceberg. Scientists make various experiments and show all the tricks and secrets of this snowy, silent monster.
I didn't like this documentary, and I didn't like it for many reasons. First of all, it's terribly boring. History stretches slowly and everything is somehow lifeless. The creators of this film failed to focus on something important. It's kind of a mess. Second, the entire history of the iceberg is sucked out of a finger. It is not interesting at all, and there is nothing fascinating or curious about it. Thirdly, the tape is empty, and I can’t believe it was shot by the Air Force. After watching it, you realize that just wasted time. If you don’t watch this movie, you won’t lose anything. Moreover, nothing new has been learned from this story.
This movie may, perhaps, only like the true fans of the film Cameron Titanic, who adore this film and are interested in the story about this tragedy. In the documentary there are many premises to the film Cameron, which was cleverly done, as if you could not recreate everything yourself. That would raise the bar for a BBC movie.
The Iceberg that Sank the Titanic is a 2006 television, documentary, British film and a faint and taut BBC film. This memo did not inspire, moreover, did not even like it.
