Animals are different. Werewolf/Megami Kyouju, a very absurd anime horror film about evil spirits, shaggy and not very human-like animals. The fact is that the theater of unhealthy extravaganza, in which the creators of this creation fell, at first does not manifest itself. The plot begins with an accompaniment that appeared as if from the seventies - the dawn of various slashers. Then it becomes obvious: our time, New York, the SWAT Special Operations Group, invades the apartment of a criminal who is holding a hostage. As you can guess, almost immediately there is a neutralization of the especially dangerous, and then horror occurs.
The concept of fighting fictional or real special forces against unknown creatures, ghosts, mutants or zombies, can always be relevant if you have the talent to submit material. The authors of the Werewolf, it manifests itself only in half. Interesting mysticism, atmosphere and bloodliness, side by side with inappropriate fictions on the part of eroticism, at the same time, candid scenes here serve as a bridge to the personalities of the characters. Another thing, if the initial stages of the nudity and the final, could be cut, leaving only scenes from the middle of the first series (there are two of them), it would even be aesthetic. Directoring in those moments is good, and filmed qualitatively and meaningfully, the angles came out original, especially considering different locations and interaction with visual and camera finds. Leave the director only this, would come out, moments, a little more measure - an erotic mystical action movie, without unnecessary vulgarity. And so, mixed a lot, but to store in one box, all together - did not work. Music is present, then instantly weathered somewhere, remembered only at the beginning. Mysterious creatures are good and varied in drawing, but the action with them is not outstanding, it remains desperate to rely on the final explosions, where the technique is involved. Color correction is at a high level. History came out crumpled and incomprehensible by its nature virus.
And such minuses and pluses alternate all the action, good and bad at the same time. A controversial multi-genre project, however, can even please.
