The year 2012. I love to watch all kinds of awards and various premieres. Unfortunately, I did not manage to watch the 2012 MTV Movie Awards and only now I watched this ceremony in full, not in fragments.
In general, the ceremony was boring, by the end, as the commentators accurately noted, they did not have enough money to show the video track for the Best Film award.
The humour was dull, or I didn’t understand it because of my mentality, but Americans are very different from Russians. In the end, the commentators killed me. I had to go look for those brakes. Most of the ceremony had to be translated myself, well I know English well.
I will give my opinion on the nominations and winners.
1. The best villain.
The prize was won by Jennifer Aniston for her role in the film The Intolerable Bosses. To me, it's well deserved. How did she look like her leather dress?
2. Breakthrough of the year.
The prize was awarded to Shailene Woodley for her role in Descendants. Although I don’t quite agree, this award I would give to Rooney Mare, she brilliantly revealed Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. But that's my humble opinion.
3. Best Actor.
Josh Hutcherson played Pete Mellark in The Hunger Games. I think it's well deserved. Although, Daniel Radcliffe and Ryan Gosling were worthy of competition.
4. Best female role.
Jennifer Lawrence is all from the same Hunger Games, the main film of the year, or at least the first half of the year (don’t forget Nolan’s The Dark Knight). I agree with everything here, too. Although, I will also mention Emma Watson and Rooney Mara.
5. Best kiss.
Well, here for a year in a row win "Twilight". Although, I think the kissing scenes in The Hunger Games, Harry Potter and That Stupid Love were much more beautiful and touching. But again, IMHO.
6. Recognition of the generation.
The award was given to Johnny Depp. Well, there's no comment. And so everyone understands.
7. Best fight.
And here the Hunger Games stand out. But I'll say it's well deserved. The fight was really impressive, although it was more epic in Harry Potter. And there was a very impressive fight in the Warrior.
8. Best cast.
This award was awarded to the cast of "Harry Potter". Well, at least something... Actually, it's a shame for Potterian. A whole generation grew up on it, but it was not appreciated.
9. The best screen incarnation.
Elizabeth Banks. “The Hunger Games” is the same. Again, the comments are superfluous. Elisabeth perfectly reincarnated in Effie Bryak.
10. Innovator of the Year.
The award was given to Emma Stone. I also think it is well deserved, although I am not very familiar with her filmography.
11. Best song.
The film "Macho and the Botan" stands out with his song "Party Rock Anthem". Although I believe that "A Real Hero" from Drive and "Pursuit of Happiness (Steve Aoki Dance Remix)"" from the movie "Project X: Running" more deserved their popcorn.
12. Best heartbreaking scene.
The award went to “Bachelor in Vegas”. I don’t even know what to say...
13. Best comedy role.
Popcorn received Melissa McCarthy from "Bachelorette in Vegas." In principle, I agree.
14. Best film.
I’d call it the Disappointment of the Year. The winner was Twilight. Saga. Dawn: Part 1". Well, fans of the saga did their best to vote for their subject of adoration. Although, in my opinion, the same "Hunger Games" and "Harry Potter" were more worthy contenders for this title.
In general, I shared my opinion, and it is up to you to agree or not.
