Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name… In 2012, The Rolling Stones turned 50 years old, a fact that still continues to amaze, especially watching these pirates still give a frantic drive on stage. On the occasion of the anniversary, this film was shot, with a successful title, script, directing and of course “actors”. The picture is good, personally I never thought that the Rollings were filming so much on tour and in the studio, thanks to which the film does not have the traditional documentary effect of talking heads. Thanks to this, there is an effect of presence, as if musicians from a height of years watch this film together with the viewer and take turns telling him their emotions, thoughts and actions at a particular moment. Well-chosen songs, classic hits and a little more emphasis on little-known songs that you want to find and listen to – an important success for a musical film. It is a little strange that instead of 50 years in the film covered rather the first 20, before the early 1980s, that is, until the moment when the Rolling Stones officially became veterans, and Mick and Keith ceased to communicate with each other, the triumphant return in 1989, 90-ies, 2000-e events of these times in the film is not. Apparently, the purpose of the film was to show the rebel musicians as they will remain in history, and not the musicians-businessmen that they are now.
For most, the first 20 years of The Rolling Stones is a rebellious spirit, a battle for a place in the sun, their best work, apparently for themselves, so make the sound louder and enjoy an honest story from musicians who have always created honest music. Sex, Drugs and the Rolling Stones!
P.S. Keith Richards, his life, his lifestyle are worthy of a separate admiration and feature film. No one else will be able to play so well.
