Don't be afraid of perfection. You can't reach it. (Salvador Dali) The exciting program 'The OCD Project', broadcast by TLC, tells the stories of six people suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder. A unique project of its kind. For 21 days, participants will live in a specially designated place and do everything that their doctor tells them. Patients with OCD have lost the ability to live a normal quiet life and an experienced team of psychologists and experts will help them restore mental health and relieve them of intrusive anxious thoughts and actions.
What are the problems of the participants?
Cody: I'm starting to touch everything.
Erin: I'm afraid to hit a pedestrian.
Jerry: My biggest fear is that I will hurt someone.
Traz: I do everything I can to prevent my son from dying.
Kevin: I will make a plane crash or there will be an earthquake.
Kristen: I wash my hands all the time. I tell myself to stop and I can't.
Perhaps some people will find all this not only strange, but even funny. But not those people who understand what it is like to suffer from this disease or know those who are susceptible to it. An interesting, informative, sometimes tragic program will show us an extraordinary world of special people. I recommend it to anyone interested in psychiatry or looking for a short but addictive series. A total of eight 45-minute episodes were released.
