Unpredictable elections or the People’s President The topic of politics and power in cinema is always interesting not only because of the topicality of the problem itself, but also because it works perfectly for such a genre as comedy. What happens if the Supreme Commander becomes... a simple librarian, and even with his love of life?
"Fun, ambitious Peppino is kindly invited to govern the Italian Republic..."
Sometimes it seems that Claudio Bisio is always waiting in Italian comedy, in a variety of ways. He already has his own piggy bank of films, the title of which begins with “Welcome...”, and this was no exception: the cheerful, ambitious Peppino (Claudio Bisio) is kindly invited to govern the Italian Republic, or rather by mistake to take office, and then renounce his duties. But that wasn't it. The protagonist perfectly understands that he can change the affairs of the country for the better and boldly takes up this idea and does everything with his natural, comic clumsiness and vitality. You would say that such a man would lead the country to complete failure, but not Peppino. Intrigue.
"The movie was good overall"
Overall, the movie turned out well. It's really funny for the European audience and for our people. The script is filled with various jokes and comic situations, but not all of them are brilliant, but the main character perfectly performs them. There are extra, slightly drawn-out scenes that slow down the comedy genre. Recommended for viewers of Italian culture and humor.
