After Ray Dennis Stackler was fired from the shooting of the action movie Cat’s War (1987), and director Hal Freeman rejected his script for the slasher “Bloody Madness” (1987), he better retire and not shame his gray hair. But the director was a real graphomaniac – he shot all his life and much of what he shot was not released for rent, but remained in the home archive. This movie was released in vain.
If you thought Steckler's early films were bad, then you just didn't see his latest work. This is not even a movie, but a compilation from the scenes of his hit “Incredibly strange creatures...” with the addition of new shootings. The old bald director walks the streets, drives in transport, sits in a cafe, and behind the scenes his voice pushes us pseudophilosophical speeches about life. Occasionally, the narrative is interrupted by footage of the preparations for the filming of the sequel “Incredibly Strange Creatures...”, in which the actors and members of the film crew appear. But in fact, there was no preparation - it's all the author's fantasies, which he called "extension of the original."
The movie is absolutely impossible to watch. It is poorly filmed and mounted, absolutely meaningless and is a terry amateur, which Steckler decided to disgrace in the eyes of modern viewers. What went the declared budget of $ 3,800 can only be guessed - special effects and close to no, as well as the plot.
Watching this craft is not worth even fans of the director. Imagine the meaningless tramp walkers from his later thrillers, only very sloppy shots. There is absolutely nothing in the movie other than these bums. So Stackler can be congratulated - before us is one of the worst films in the history of cinema, which markedly ended the career of an undeservedly cult director.
