Monsters kill? Despite the low rating, the film interested me. It would seem that the classic horror movie: children; a monster from the basement, which appears when the lights go out; the younger brother arranges small machinations of the older sister, she in response terrorizes him. It's like humans, as they say. However, the film surprised and pleased. It has something from King: friends face mysterious phenomena, conduct a mini-investigation, the monster waits for the right moment and strikes, the main character enters into battle with him with the help of flashlights, New Year's lights and a robot on wheels with a camera. All this is very cheerful and sometimes even cheerful in the foreground. And there's something much harder behind it. And more real. It seems that the usual, not too significant negative moments are layered on each other and as a result, the youngest, weakest and most defenseless member of the family suffers. And how stupid and stupid, as it happens in life.
I would like to write a lot more, but I don’t want to spoil it. The film is made well, there is no desire to find fault with the little things. I look with pleasure, I advise everyone who loves mysticism, as well as those who have children. To remember what it's like when you're not stupid, but you're small and weak, and you're afraid of the closet door open and the lights go out. And even if you want to be brave and beat everyone, it won't get any worse. The younger ones depend on the older ones, on their foresight and attentiveness. Remember that.
