Double thrashdet Despite the wretchedness and infernal stupidity of this film, it has one weighty plus, like many paintings of this genre - it is great fun. While watching, I laughed as if it wasn't a thrashack with retired old people, but a comedy from Sacha Baron Cohen! But that doesn’t change the fact that the movie sucks.
It is stylized as a comic book and begins with the fact that a certain African-American woman buys a comic book about the Green Cross in a store and brings it home to read to her friend - a white boy. Although the film is not very clear who she is to him – mother or sister or friend – it is very strange they behave.
The comic also begins with the fact that a group of hunters for various evil spirits comes to the landfill of cars, where a very dangerous enemy awaits them - the cousin of Quentin Tarantino's best friend. He gives the hunters a gop stop and saves their own Green Cross. After that, Trejo leaves to form a gang, and the hunters face a new danger - the most terrible enemy from his past - Tony Bullet-in-tooths. And the kneading begins.
I'll start with visual effects. You can see that the creators did not really care about the film - they even made holes from shots. But the Green Cross graphics and explosions... Oh, that's so bad! It's the worst.
It's less action than I'd like. Shootings are not very, but rather stiff. I was especially pleased with the way the enemy was shot! This is a good thing to do!
The plot is stupid and predictable. I was especially pleased with the “Note from Gunnar”. It's a masterpiece - just no words!
Acting game... And here I was surprised and amazed! Out of the entire team of Gopniks and Gopnitsa, I was pleased with two people. The first is an African-American, Andre Gordon. Oh, my God, he delivered! How much fun he was! This is awesome! I’m going to watch this movie because of it!
The second is a girl from the women’s hunting squad – Kelly Gray. Oh, how she delivered her categorical inability to play the kid! But she turned out to be such a cheerful and funny girl, who in one way brought a smile, that I am ready to forgive this film all its wretchedness - because of her! Bravo, Kelly, beautiful!
It is also worth mentioning Tom Sizemore. He showed up here for a couple of minutes and played his part as if he was pulled from a busy schedule in the TV series “Sniper” and shoved here – to quickly play the detective. Otherwise, how else to explain his incomprehensible rush and trampling in place from impatience. Although, it's a little better than the way he played in the first movie of the series.
Operating work, editing and music at the proper level for such a thrashack - none.
The result is a stupid action movie about nothing, which the director (aka producer and performer of the role of War) – Patrick Durham made for the sake of “having fun and having a beer with friends, inviting Trejo and Jones”. For fun and rusty, I give him a tenth. The film is what it deserves.
