...and eternal winter! For a long time I have not come across the fact that a full-length film is not made for rental, but for television. Perhaps this was the reason that there is almost no information about the painting “Forever”. There was no rent. I didn't get the cashier. Critics are silent. And the audience ... are silent, too. The film was made by NTV. And, apparently, he lay on the air grid of one of the thematic channels of this holding. It is doubly strange, since the format of television is TV series. And the more series are planned for production, the more profitable the project is considered. Here we are limited to the traditional timekeeping in an hour and a half.
There are almost no reviews for the film on the Internet. This is the first time I’ve been in the movie.
What I want to say: a sweet, a little naive and fake story with a little bit of romance and mysticism. Beautiful old interiors, romantic winter shots, pleasant costumes. It's all caressing. No screaming colors, no dark frames, noir, or wild contrast. In almost all scenes there is a soft warm light. Slow footage. Equally slow movement in the frame of the heroes (all). Gradual developments. You can see that the production shop, costume artists and makeup tried to convey a certain atmosphere outside of time and fuss. And they did it. In any case, from the point of view of the visual series, the film deserves a high rating.
Well, history is more complicated.
“An aging writer has been depressed for years after breaking up with his wife. The only thing that connects him to the real world is the teenage daughter he has to take care of. But that's not in the plot at all. If you do not read the lines of the abstract, then, judging by the initial frames of the film, in front of us ... yes, the writer. But he's not depressing at all. He works, lectures, communicates with colleagues and friends. He pays little attention to his teenage daughter. The daughter is left to herself and, in fact, she does what she wants. Fortunately, she is not a difficult teenager, and therefore comes home on time and all her quirks are limited to communicating with a fashionable fingered girlfriend. That's the contradiction. We write one thing and show another.
Conflict is a necessary dramatic component, it seems. But it is so smooth and won that you do not believe in it at all. All family members walk around and smile at each other. And they continue to smile even when they find out that the heroine just wanted to kill. We smiled and forgave each other. Sometimes! Evil sectarian girls, or witches, or vampires... I don’t know what to call them, they smile at everyone, too. And they smile back. It’s an unusually positive movie in the end. With a smile in life, such a slogan can probably be picked up to this story.
In general, the heroes have all the emotions. A good-natured writer does not even lead an eyebrow when he learns that his new girlfriend, it turns out, officially does not exist. Only politely asks his teenage daughter to behave. And she smiled back at him.
Thanks to such a nice positive atmosphere, you don’t worry about anyone in the film. Even when, according to the plot, the characters begin to be threatened by real danger, you look at these smiles and realize that this is all fake. They're just playing ... in death.
In general, the positive in this film is clearly overstated. Still, there are situations when polite phrases have to be forgotten and acted upon. Here they are. But also somehow not natural and slow. A school-age girl gets behind the wheel and calmly drives on busy roads. And he goes to no one knows where, but definitely gets at the right time and at the right address. And in a huge mansion where she has never been, she already knows all the entrances and exits at once. I've always been amazed by such insight. And then everyone smiles again.
I can't help but celebrate the eternal winter in the frame. The writer met a girl in the winter forest, brought home, they fell in love, she became pregnant, and all this time - winter. The writer was promised to publish a book, published a long time ago, held a conference - it is still winter around. On the screen appear credits: "It's been seven months" - winter again! Who was the title written for? For idiots? Therefore, when the caption appeared again saying that “it has been seven years”, I was not at all surprised when I saw winter again in the frame.
Bad case. In conditions of permafrost live heroes, it turns out. Although all cars with numbers of Moscow and the Moscow region. This is probably Moscow after the global cooling is shown.
Such miracles are incredible.
But in general, the film is cute, not tense and you can watch it once to the mood.
