I must say, I generally love dramas on a medical topic, but recently nothing interesting came across, and even if something was interesting on the topic, such as in Brain, initially a beautiful theme and plot just spoiled their bad performance poorly selected actors.
And then I looked at the high ratings in Korea, read the reviews of our viewers and decided to watch "Teacher Kim, a romantic doctor." And immediately a pleasant surprise - in the first episode of the unexpected kiss of a stubborn young doctor and the phrase "I want to sleep with you." Wow, I think this is something unexpected for Korean dramas, where (pseudo) infantilism often crosses all boundaries. True, further the love line looks rather sluggish, except that there are some moments where Dr. Kahn persistently shows his love, but still, I expected that the love line will give more attention.
What's so good about drama? The protagonist. Han Seok Kyu is a good actor, the image of the rejected doctor-genius he quite succeeded, however, with such fingers as the actor could hardly be a surgeon, but in the drama prudently showed mainly his hands either in pockets or in gloves, or not at all.
Now about what is bad or not quite successful. The main thing that bothered me was that after a party where everyone was drinking, on the call of Dr. Kim, doctors rushed to the hospital to perform operations. That is, the idea of the writers-directors, I understand, to show the workload of doctors and the willingness to come to the rescue immediately, but I somehow feel uncomfortable with the fact that someone is operating not too sober doctor.
Or something else. The heart-changed chairman talks about a mystery that happened 20 years ago and is clearly connected to Dr. Kim, but agrees to reveal it to him only after surgery. I don't know, maybe I've looked at something, but he hasn't revealed any secrets. She's not mentioned anywhere else. Correct me if that's not the case.
Well, in general, the drama looks easy, I will not say that keeps in suspense, but of course you empathize with the heroes. Although the high ratings of this series in Korea are still a mystery to me.
