Sometimes very stupid, but catches and tightens I am not a fan of "soap" series, but a free week was issued and, short evening in front of the TV, accidentally got on the first series of "Thread...". I thought I would watch an hour and sleep, but I stuck to the plot and ended up watching all 40 episodes in a couple of days.
This is, of course, the purest soap. Claims to the director and screenwriter a lot. But at the same time there is something that catches and makes you look to the end.
The main disadvantages of the series:
1. Humble work of the director and screenwriter in terms of adaptation (this series is an adaptation of the Korean drama “Shoes for Cinderella”). And this nonsense is expressed primarily in adaptation as such. Korean “Shoes...” was released in 2002, and “Threads...” in 2016. The difference of 14 years has to be adjusted, but it is not. For example, how can you not find a little girl in a city “the size of a matchbox” in the age of modern technology? Moreover, the grandfather has unlimited financial opportunities and works in the field of information technology. From the point of view of the difference in mentality and cultures of adaptation, there is also no – many of the actions of the characters look very strange (until you learn that this is the Korean view of things).
2. There's a lot of fluff. For example, the characters are shown at the same time, but on one frame - day, and on the other - already night. For example, the scene when Vadim comes out of the sizo and talks on the phone with Sasha. Vadim has a day and Sasha is already asleep. Or, for example, girls have a photo of their grandfather. Katya (14 years old!!!) saw this photo, crossed paths with her grandfather several times and did not recognize it. Yeah! The fact that Olya is taken into the family in such a stupid way also spoils the plot. Afraid of responsibility for an accident, but not afraid to stick to the corner for kidnapping. Well, then!
3. The series is full of stupid scenes. I know it was Korean-style, but the difference is that the Koreans filled these 40 episodes with dialogue and events that allow them to better understand the thoughts, feelings, characters and actions of the characters. And in Threads ... very large pieces are filled with some stupid scenes.
4. Some actors are similar and presented to the viewer very strangely. And, above all, this applies to one of the main characters - Katya (as I will write below).
5. The finale of the series would be at least strange, if not ridiculous. Not according to the plot (this is, as they say, the work of the writers), but according to the picture. Against the background of the tragic event in the final frames of the series we see fun, laughter and smiles. In addition, it is not entirely clear the fate of some characters who were actively shown to us all 40 episodes, and then, suddenly, they seem to have never existed.
The main plus - the plot - the merit rather Koreans. It was their idea that captured and forced to watch the series to the end. The cars in the series are beautiful.
If we talk about the characters, it was interesting to look at Vadim, Leonid, Glory, Phil, Veronica, Roy, as well as little Olya.
The sisters, unfortunately, left very contradictory feelings (rather with the sign "-"), Dima Poltavasky and his grandfather Poltavasky also in many situations do not look quite adequate, Vanya and the crazy family of Zoya / Kola - look generally invited clowns.
VADIM. I really liked the actor (D. Vasiliev) and the character. In many forums, Vadim was labeled a negative hero. I didn't see that negativity. A normal man, business, balanced, purposeful. The plans with which he appears in the series are also quite normal and natural. He sees in this vendetta only himself and his opponent, one on one. It is not his fault that Katya herself hangs herself around his neck and drags him into unnecessary relationships. At the same time, Vadim is capable of feelings, emotions, nobility, and pity. I would have fallen in love with him too.
Glory. He's also quite a normal man. A difficult childhood, a difficult teenager - it's commonplace and condemn him for it is stupid. He doesn’t have rich relatives, he can survive. At the same time, in adulthood, he does not steal from anyone, and gyms and fights - well, he does not force anyone into this. Adult men (including Vanya) make an adult decision that they do not want to go to work in the factory, and want to beat each other's faces. Fame gives them that opportunity. That's it.
Leonid. Adequate adult man who is moderately loyal to the company, but also about his interests, also periodically remembers.
Swarm. Mikhail Kukuyuk played well. A very colorful bandit turned out. The role is secondary, but memorable.
KATYA. My favorite character in every sense: from the point of view of the selection of the actress, and from the point of view of the character. The feeling that E. Rozanova took on this role only for some resemblance to Kate Winslet. Purely visually, she does not fit into the role of Katya. Against the background of Vadim, she seems to be an elephant who is 20 years older than him. And the most surprising thing is that the makeup artists further reinforce the feeling that Katya and Vadim are mom and son (especially in some scenes), not a couple. Look Katie's awful. The content of the character is even worse!! She looks downright stupid, inconsistent. Demands something from Vadim, although he never took any initiative. It's worn with a habal Lisa like a domestic dog. I don’t think the girl is only interested in money. She does not try to develop it and bring it closer to relatives (only from them something is always required). It's a very stupid character.
SASHA (which is like the most positive and disadvantaged character). That's the thing. Vanya throws away, but takes gifts properly. He sleeps with one and wears the ring from the other. She throws keys and does not support a loved one in a difficult situation, and then she rolls out more claims to him. The actress is well selected, quite fits visually, but the character is very controversial. I don’t think she’s just a victim and a victim.
BANYA. It's just brutal! On the forums, everyone considers Vanya “perfect man”, “knight”, but where is the ideality? A healthy forehead who doesn't want to work. A lover of making easy money. He's a hysterical man. Only, unlike women, in a fit of hysteria, it is not the dishes that beat, but the muzzles. What a "perfect" thing!! Run away and get away from it!!
DIMA. Very stupid start to the series. He comes to his father with a request to take care of his daughters, but does not talk about the disease. If pride is above all else, why should I come? If taking care of children above all else, why pride?
Koreans for the idea — 10, Ukrainians for not perfect adaptation — 3. The average is 6-7 stars.
