Chal Momossymnid! For a long time I wanted to watch a drama in the genre of “everyday”, so that it is warm, cozy, without tin and especially sharp corners. Yes, there is a basic conflict, but it pales against the background of relations in one simple, at first glance, family.
In my opinion, the main character of the film is food. She is everywhere: at home, at work of the characters, in the cafe, and when solving important questions for the characters. Food is the embodiment of care, love, warmth and is designed to show the importance of mutual understanding and respect. Knowing how important food plays in Korea, it is not surprising that it expresses the main ideas of the drama.
The characters of the drama - members of one large family - are very different, each of them has its own path, but they all share one word - Family. Someone comes to this earlier, someone - much later, but one thing is clear: without support, warmth, help of the closest, it is impossible to go a huge way called "life".
The main thing that wins in the drama is the warmth and sincerity with which the Byung family treats each other and other people. Falling under the charm of this family, it is impossible not to change, it is impossible not to accept and not to understand the values of loved ones. Even we, the audience, want to find ourselves in this small, modest but full of love house and become part of the Byung family.
Very bribes the father of the family - Byung Han Soo (performed Kim Yong Chol). It's not a father, it's a dream. A true head of the family who can be relied on, who will always understand correctly, will support and take under his wing. I would not say that he is a courageous traditional man, he is more like a hen chicken, the main thing for which is to protect their chicks, to do everything to keep them healthy and happy. His four children always know that they are protected, they have received so much love that they could not grow up to be bad people. And no matter what life throws them around the corner, they will always cope with having such a reliable rear.
As for the actors, I won’t list them all, because there are too many main characters, but I think everyone did a great job with the roles. There was, however, an ambiguous attitude to Li Joon and Jong Seo Min, but seeing the amazing chemistry between them, I forgave them everything.
52 episodes flew for me unnoticed: I did not even have time to come to my senses as I sat down to watch the last episode. This drama became for me an oasis among working days with the attendant tension. If you want to relax and plunge into the atmosphere of warmth, care and love, then the drama is definitely for you.
The only thing I could not help but compare with my other favorite drama “Ozhakkyo Brothers”, because they are very similar in genre, plot, and atmosphere. And if you compare, this drama definitely loses, so I can not put the highest score.
7.5 out of 10
