Family is everywhere. . . A film about cynical, angry and unfriendly relatives. In the center of the plot is a selfish aunt who, by the will of fate, was “forced” to look after her niece. My niece is a teenager with a transitional age. My aunt is always working and dissatisfied with everyone. The film is not just about the relationship between an adult and a teenager, but also about the subculture of Jagalo.
This is not a typical film with a banal plot about how a teenager locks himself in a room, and the trustee tries to get him out of there.
Parents do not show interest in the hobbies of their daughter, do not give her a choice. The girl's mother dreams that her daughter will find girlfriends, and she will wear a dress to the dance. The girl, in turn, prefers karate and trouser suit, to replace the dress.
This is a film about people in a family who have forgotten they are family. People who don’t listen to each other or don’t want to hear. But one moment, when an aunt intervenes in the problem of a teenager, everything falls into place.
Jaggalo - interestingly demonstrated the subculture of mad clowns. Before this film, I had no idea of such a culture. At first they seem scary, and then cute (c)
The unique Taylor Schilling perfectly coped with the role of aunt and sister - perfectly, talented and unique. The cast members were also very pleased!
The film is intended for any audience, but I would advise to watch it for those whose children are going through transitional age, or just those who have children.
Despite the cynicism of the main characters, the film is very kind and soulful.
Believe in the power of goodness and love!
