Count of Monte Cristo on Minimal A very poorly filmed variation on the theme of the famous Dumas novel. It would seem that a great idea is to transfer the action to our time, especially to capture the period of the collapse of the USSR, the dashing 90s with a denouement (actually the stage of revenge) in our days, when, I am sure, stories like ' from sailors to the mud, and from there to the princes' was enough in real life. But the execution is extremely weak. The main storylines more closely repeat the original source, but the action stretching ... to 8 episodes, the added water does not add dynamics, i.e. all the interesting twists of the plot are still taken from the novel. The action seems to break up into separate scenes. They shot the scene - and thank God, they move on to the next one, according to the principle ' so, we have not shown these characters for a long time that they have there, probably the viewer is already worried' Even scenes shot to raise the spectacle, such as paragliding or an evening performance in the home of the protagonist, look pale. The evening performance barely reached the level of animation in an average three-star Turkish hotel.
Actors play mostly poorly, well, maybe in addition to the wife of the sudden owner of the diamond, she tries to squeeze the maximum out of the screen time allotted to her. None of the main characters elicits sympathy, including the main character, especially the main character. His pseudo-philosophical tirades are annoying, in fact, he plays a suddenly raised brother, flinging with money and looks like a leisurely flicker ' Sun Tzu' or something like that. And so that the viewer does not doubt that he can master Chinese treatises, at least in the form of a brochure, the hero wears a suit of Ushuist. His assistant is clearly more intelligent, but also not without nuances: 'oh, it seems he noticed us'. And just do not need on the same hefty white infinity (very & #39; inconspicuous' car, especially in rural Crimean areas) constantly graze near the house.

Anyway, it's a scam. Hulture especially struck me when comparing this series with the parallel released 'Games', there is a completely different level of quality, a different attitude to detail, to script, to directing, camera work, editing, picture, soundtrack.
4 episodes watched, 5th scrolled. I think that's enough. The rest of the series will not save, even some unexpected ending. Better than Dumas, the creators still will not invent anything.
