Korean beauty. Do you like watching commercials? I don't think so. Apparently, this fact was taken care of by one Korean cosmetics company, when, to promote their products, decided not to shoot a video, but a series. In this amazing advertising product, they not only promote their own cosmetics, but also desperately spoiled competitors.
Thanks to the successful choice of authors, director Choi Yong-hoon and screenwriter Kim Soon-ok, the series became very soulful and very peripetial. On various drama sites, it is described as a melodrama, but in fact it is an exciting detective, generously flavored with elements of comedy, with beautiful music and cute characters.
While the owner and chairman of a large cosmetics company is very busy with his personal life, his business is trying to take away three villains and one insidious villain. When, as a result of their heinous actions, people died, relatives and friends of the victims gather their team.
The main character, a girl with sensitive skin and an active civil position, suffers from allergies to cosmetics already mentioned company. And all because the director, the owner's daughter, smart and beautiful, maliciously pushes the composition, replacing chamomile extract with silicones and parabens. A friend of the groom of the girl, a talented chamomile grower and a novice beautician, enters into an unequal fight with a cosmetic monster. His desperate struggle resulted in the creation of the very brand that paid for the creation of the series.
I tearfully ask you not to consider this a spoiler, the information is given only for seed. The series is very dramatic, and I would like to comfort the viewer a little when his heart is compressed in moments of experience. There are many heroes with different fates, a lot of bright moments.
My favorite characters are the wonderful mother of the chairwoman (Kim Sung Mi) and her adored grandson (Cho Yoon Woo). This couple is hilarious, their tender relationship will give a head start to any romance. Cho Yun Woo, who I remember playing the handsome Ye Oul in the drama Hwaran, is terribly cavain here and reminds me of the young Jean Mare from Terrible Parents. Even superficially similar, as much as a Korean with pronounced national features can resemble a blonde and blue-eyed European.
Lord Na Dae-in and his wife are also absolutely divine. This couple is desperately torn between stinginess and kindness, creating a host of comic situations. For romance here is responsible for the chairman himself, a respectable old man, and his frivolous lover. Their touching novel is accompanied by quotes from the Roman Holiday, the Titanic and the Bodyguard, accompanied by music from these film masterpieces. Of the villains, I want to note the most important – the singer Da Som so used to her role that it is difficult for me to see in her a good person in real life. In 2017, this girl became the best new actress.
Despite the decent volume, 68 episodes, the series looks in one breath. One of the sites even has information that originally planned to shoot 50 episodes, but due to the success of the audience, the series was renewed. The series after the 40th half an hour and carry a tangible imprint of audience love, but this does not make it worse. Only one of the main characters was lucky. I think, watching this masterpiece product, you will get a lot of bright emotions and also fall in love.
