I have only watched the first season so far. I bought reviews about an unexpected ending. In fact, if you have a lot of time ahead of the New Year’s weekend, and you are not burdened by the slowness of the story, coupled with the real aggressiveness of the main character, this series can be watched. More or less interesting is the last series of the first season, when there is at least some development of the plot. In general, drawn out and mystified from scratch. The maniac’s line is not twisted, there are many gaps in the “documents” that seem to be found during the investigation, but nothing is said about their content. I do not recommend fans of active detective stories - there is excessive protractedness, poverty of the plot and the environment, too much with abnormal (without explaining why the whole island is abnormal, for example), too much with positive killed heroes and information failures.
If you look, then only under a very slow, idle mood. Then I recommend it.
I found out about this series on an entertainment website. I like the synopsis, I love mysterious stories.
The beginning of the first series is incredibly long. In general, many moments in this series I rewinded, as they have nothing to do with the plot, only “discover the characters”. There is a lot of talk and information. Including even about the son of a left-wing policeman who simply sympathized with the main character.
Fabian's behavior is one of hysteria and psychosis. His tirades are in some cases very long and meaningless. Hysterical. My wife is very apathetic at the same time. She is just waiting for her daughter.
Private detective looks very comical. Even Mr. Bean would look more serious. His methods of investigation are effective, but strange. And I didn't get any sympathy from him. Voids who talked a lot to stretch the series as much as 8 episodes!
I'll write about the minuses. The film was broadcast on HBO2. And apparently the Argentines decided to review all the popular Western detectives. And they got carried away. Template on template, template on template. After the third series, I guessed every plot twist, because I had already seen it.
The biggest disappointment was the last two episodes. Filmed a thriller in the style of a real detective, which develops among the local rednecks.
In general, this series is a craft made of all known detective templates. And then there was another thriller. And something from a very famous series.
If you like thrillers, horrors, detectives or family dramas, then the Bronze Garden has every chance to become a pleasant discovery for you.
Argentina’s eight-part project Bronze Garden was released in 2017. He has won an international Emmy Award and has a high rating of 7.8 in IMDB.
The story he tells begins in a rather banal way. The husband, wife and their four-year-old daughter lived a normal life until one day the girl disappeared with her nanny.
Naturally, the police are involved in the case and several versions of their disappearance are being worked out first - it is quite possible that they were kidnapped and sold by an influential criminal group, which investigators have long been trying to bring to light. There are many versions, but the case does not move.
Days, weeks, months and then years pass. A private detective is even connected to the investigation, but he was able only to find the body of the nanny, but where the girl went, and remained a mystery. . .
The creators of “Bronze Garden” skillfully whipp up the atmosphere of despair and despair, do not overload the narrative with unexpected plot twists and masterfully reveal their story only in the finale, when numerous riddles add up to a single picture.
The huge success of the first season forced the creators of the series to shoot a second season - it too begins with a mysterious disappearance. This time, a teenage boy disappears. The main characters from the first season returned to the audience - they are involved in the search for the boy and try to overcome the psychological difficulties of the previous experience. The ratings of this season are expected to be lower than the first, but they are also quite high. Moreover, it was announced that the studio is working on a third season.
So if you haven’t seen the Bronze Garden yet, try it to taste. It is no worse than the famous Danish Murder, the Swedish Bridge or the British Murder on the Beach.
Very interesting Argentine project HBO (not only Netflix is engaged in integration). A tough and intense thriller about kidnapping children. There are two seasons that are quite different atmospheric and plot, although the second is a continuation of the first and is connected by the main characters.
The first season tells the story of a family that has lost a daughter. The long search did not lead to anything, but suddenly the father seems to be on the trail. The story is confusing, sinister and even with a touch of mysticism. Clear genre parallels with the thriller about maniacs. The dynamic story holds attention very well. This is facilitated by fresh hot South American movie blood. Such Argentine cinema is not often caught by an inexperienced viewer.
In the second season, the same main character participates in the search for not his child using the acquired skills of the tracker. This series may not be as mystically mysterious and more down-to-earth, but it’s probably even more violent and already linked to child pornography. The first season is of course more original and atmospheric, but the second quite well complements and continues the story.
As a feature that someone may like or vice versa play in the negative is a very strong aggressive emotionality of the main character. It is clear that there is a southern mentality, but at first it can be somewhat annoying. On the other hand, the character played by Joaquin Fourriel turned out to be characteristic and memorable.
I recommend the series. It seems like the year is not closed, but it is possible that the second season was the last. Sorry.
HBO often delights viewers with new quality content during the offseason, when the biggest hits of competitors go off the air or are on a long hiatus. The next project of the channel was created in Argentina and, as was popular in 2016, performed in the genre of a detective thriller.
The plot of the film tells about the sudden disappearance of four-year-old Moira Danubio in the subway of Buenos Aires. The police are unable to find the girl - there is no evidence, no motive for the abduction, no trace. The girl's father Fabian does not intend to give up and makes his own efforts and uses the help of a private detective to bring the child home.
“Bronze Garden” is not a newcomer to the genre of detective thriller: 2015-2016 is known as the time of popularization of the genre on the small screen, quite heavily exploited by a major competitor Netflix. However, this did not prevent the HBO channel, known for its quality to the whole world, to shoot a multi-part work that has become a worthy example of the genre, the main advantage of which is a strong detective line stretched through several years and linking individual time segments of the narrative. Not "True Detective," of course, but definitely "The Bronze Garden" is moving in a familiar direction, although the dynamics are sometimes disrupted and lose touch between important storylines. Only from the third episode, the series finds the optimal rhythm and does not let go of the viewer’s attention until the very end. Perhaps some of the plot denouement will seem the fruit of wildly played fantasy, but, on the other hand, what to do with the genre in which everything has already been said?
This is not even a series in its usual understanding. This is a harmonious, rich, frightening, felt and thoughtful creation.
There are series where the viewer constantly has to put up with something: the script is not up to the level of Malaya logic, then the actors will spoil the frame once again, then the director has a vision of scenes as a director of a cancan in a cabaret. Get away from these squalid crafts and immerse yourself in the “Bronze Garden”.
First of all, this is a detective, well thought out and stretched in time with a range of tens of years. The secrets of generations, unsolved murders, frightening legends and all this against the backdrop of the tragedy of an ordinary family living in a modern metropolis - the inexplicable kidnapping of a child. What could be more interesting?
The team is good. Starting with the composer on the musical screensaver and ending with the supporting actors, all the participants of the project show “how to make awesome films.” The main actor plays in a rare style of "I didn't know I was filmed." No pretentious speeches, passionate passions, heroic poses - the whole story is played completely everyday, which is even more frightening, given the events unfolding in the film.
If you enjoyed Season 1 of True Detective, watch and enjoy it. God knows when he will be able to enjoy the same.
One day in a city in the Southern Hemisphere, a child goes missing with his nanny, which is soon found, but we will give spoilers. In the description of the series error: the father of the girl continues to search for a long time. I would not call the series in the spirit of “Bridge”, rather in the style of “Missing” and, of course, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”.
In general, the series: competent timing (8 episodes), interesting Latin American locations, Argentine criminal realities (corruption, clumsiness of the law enforcement system), living human characters, genius and villainy, characters you sympathize with. It would seem nothing unusual, but the series catches, constantly waiting for the continuation and in recent episodes you understand that the rural hinterland is everywhere ready environment for a thriller.

An American-Argentine detective television series featuring mostly Argentine actors and in original Spanish. At the same time, the atmosphere is strangely reminiscent of measured European detectives, in the spirit of the Scandinavian TV series “The Bridge” and the saga “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”.
A thoughtful, measured narrative, a chemistry-riddled duet of characters - the father of a missing girl and a eccentric elderly private detective trying to investigate a case that the police screwed up.
The main and perhaps the only disadvantage can be called the unevenness of the narrative, the series is incredibly long and sticky, sometimes it seems that the plot does not move, stalls - in fact, as well as the case over which the main characters are fighting. The plot and intrigue can not be called confusing; the main thing that the characters and viewers face is a lack of information, it is thrown into the plot with crumbs and is not always true. Heroes know almost nothing, leads that they manage to find, suddenly break, versions are swept away, leaving no new ones. Only one thing you believe from the first to the last shot - in the love of a father for his child and in his unwavering desire to find his daughter at all costs.
