Favorite phenomenon Marilyn Manson is known for the fact that in his videos often appears in very unexpected images. As a rule, the mood of these clips is very heavy, and they themselves are quite hard psychedelics. But it wasn't always that way. In my opinion, the peak of Manson’s fame came in 2003, when the whole world saw his videos for the songs Mobscene and This is the new shit.
Simple, but very brightly and beautifully Manson praises himself both in the song and in the video. Similar to the mystical Dracula, the singer is surrounded by poisonous beauties, ready to please their master anywhere and at any time. And at the scene where Manson is going to sing, hundreds of loyal fans and fans are waiting for him, ready to praise his leader and follow him to the end of the world. Pale skin, sparkling teeth, black lipstick, latex, thongs, Renaissance scenery - all this in the clip in bulk. What else is lacking in informals? A note of doom, perhaps. They are here too, although the general mood is still positive. In the end, this style is designed to emphasize some personal characteristics, the very presence of which is already a reason to rejoice.
As a visualist, I cannot help but note the special camerawork. The picture in the video has, as it were, cleanliness. Given that this is just a clip, clearly shot for a modest amount, and even in 2003, the result is excellent. It is only strange that the format was chosen outdated even for those times - square, not wide.
If you’re a gothic lover, this video and this song will take you to heaven for four minutes.
